Marriott's Mai Khao Resort - Phuket is a 10-minute walk to Mai Khao Beach. The resort provides modern air-conditioned apartments with a luxurious bathroom and a fully functional kitchen. Wonderful resort with great facilities. Pool and gym were excellent and loads of activities. Shops nearby

JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa offers a tranquil beachfront escape on unspoiled Mai Khao Beach, set within 11 hectares (27 acres) of lush tropical gardens overlooking the Andaman Sea. My wife and I stayed here for 5 days to celebrate her milestone birthday. This hotel is perfect in every aspect. Let me highlight some of the best things: -Checkin was smooth and they upgraded us to a ground floor terrace room, from where you can just walk out to the pool and beach - the rooms were spacious, clean and modern - the beach was the best part. See my photos. Long clean strip of beach, almost private. The water was lovely and the waves were mild. They also have beach surf boards and other toys to rent. - the service at the pool side was phenomenal. They got you cold water and towels as soon as you arrived. Prompt food and drink services. I will thank the extremely polite servers there. - Spa- the highlight of the trip!!! I’ve never been to a better spa in my life. Beautiful couple spa rooms and just extraordinary service. They even gave a cake to cut for her birthday. - food: great breakfast at the buffet restaurant. - pools: 3 very large and nice pools with diffferent layout. - the guests and crowd: all the guests were really good and no one created noise or a ruckus. This is really important in a large resort like this. - M Beach club: really cool place by the beach to have drinks. Again with phenomenal staff. If you wanna go to thailand for a vacation, please chose this. The location is 20 mins north of Phuket airport. Paying beach is about 1 hour south of this resort. You can rent an all day Grab to visit patong.

The pools are very nice with varying depths, with about 5-6 different pools for different people like kids pool with 0.5m depth, huge general adult pool, shallower pool with 1.4m depth, infinity pool with loud music for party people, another adults only pool which we didn't use, kids pool with water showers, sprays and water slides. The resort provides by default two room cards (a small detail many hotels often miss), another small detail is that the resort offers plenty of free bottled water so we never had to buy any, the location is very good, you have right across the street ATM, exchange, convenience store (7/11), massage parlor, bars, across the other street there is the beach which although public, the resort offers towels to take to the beach. In 15 minutes walking distance you have big shopping malls, the famous Bangla resort, and a whole load of other shops and places. The staff is super friendly and always helpful. There are various free things you can do to kill some time like a ping-pong table, snooker table, pool table and a very nice and well equipped kids play center with various activities during the day for the children. The resort offers a lot of things that help you keep your luggage light like pool and beach towels, toothbrushes, quality shampoo and shower gel (not those tiny bottles but large ones), hair dryer, clothes iron, bath robes, bath slippers. The breakfast buffet is very diverse offering many sweet and salty dishes, including children oriented dishes like porridge, pudding and finger food, there are also different food station cooking fresh pancakes, noodles, Arabic food, omelets/eggs.
