Như Ngọc Motel

Như Ngọc Motel in Cà Mau features a garden and a shared lounge. The accommodation offers room service and a 24-hour front desk for guests.

At the hotel every room includes air conditioning, a desk, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen, towels and a terrace with a city view. Như Ngọc Motel provides certain units with garden views, and each room comes with a balcony. At the accommodation, rooms have a seating area. The staff at Nhu Ngoc was the best. They are friendly, super helpful, and accomodating. On check-in day, the room given by Qui, the staff on duty, had a somewhat bad smell in the bathroom. When I mentioned this, Qui said he could fix it by flushing and pouring a little chemical into the drain, but gave me a room on the opposite side (across the hall) anyway. And indeed, he fixed it: the smell was gone about 10 minutes later in the old room when I dropped by to check. A few days later, my phone from abroad run into issues, so Lam and Ven helped me book a room in Saigon and get a bus ticket. On my last day, when I checked out, I forgot to pick up my license! I called Ven to ask for help after I was already on the bus for 2 hours. Lam, who was on duty, immediateltely sent it express to my hotel in Saigon. I got my license the next day. :-) Finally, when I tried to pay for the cost they said "no worries" and wished me safe travel! As for my stay, the few nights I was there, I did walk around in the alley many times and felt completely safe. The earea was a lot quieter than the busy streets. I also enjoy the view from the roof top terrace. You can see all around. Since it was August, the weather was muggy and hot, but the air conditioner worked well. There was no mosquitoes, which is a pleasant surprise! The saying was: in Camau, "Muoi keu nhu sao thoi", which means the sound of mosquitoes is as loud as the flute! The somewhat strange thing for me was the bathroom, but I get used to it after a while. You use the sprayer to clean after you go :-). The big plus is you are super clean! And the shower sprays 90 percent into the tub and 10 percent outside, but there is a drain there to catch anyway. To help the floor of the bathroom dry faster, I sort of splash the water into the drain. All in all, it was a super experience.
