Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring is set in Aomori, 6 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 43 km from Tsuta Hot Spring. With a restaurant, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. We loved our stay here. Location is great, an easy walk from the train station, and lots of food options around. (We loved Nonohana (ののはな), an izakaya just around the corner. We sat at the bar and had a great time chatting with some of the regulars - the food here is delicious and very affordable.) The hotel has an awesome natural hot spring, including an open air one, so I bathed while watching the snow fall - it was pretty magical. Then they offer free ice creams, a manga library, and free massage chairs - it doesn't get much better. The buffet breakfast was expensive but we had a lot of fun trying different dishes - this is a great way to try the famous Aomori apple if you're in a rush. We had apple juice, apple pie and apple jelly!

Historical Ryokan SENYUKAN features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 42 km of Lake Towada and 43 km of Sannai-Maruyama site. This place is an absolute gem. The staff, food, location and room were all exceptional. I would recommend this ryokan to anyone wanting an exceptional ryokan experience. The onsen was also fantastic and the warmest one we came across in our month in Japan.

Featuring a hot tub, 1日1組の宿 OTTABIO（オタービオ） is set in Hirosaki. Guests can benefit from a balcony and an outdoor fireplace. A unique stay in the area. The house decor and atmosphere was a lovely space to be for a few days. We also received a free day pass to the little local ski field just behind the house which we really enjoyed. The additional touches left by the host were great too - local jam, apple juice, face masks and coffee.

Dormy Inn Hon-Hachinohe is situated in Hachinohe, 7.9 km from Hachinohe Station and 8.2 km from Fishery Science Museum Marient. Absolutely loved this Dormy Inn! Smiley and chatty staff, made check-in a breeze. They also gave good recommendations to enjoy some local dishes. Room was very decently sized for a single, didn't feel tight at all. It was clean, well stocked with amenities and PJ's were present too. Location was very good for restaurants and bars, only a couple minutes away from Miroku Yokocho. Bus stop from main spots in Hachinoe was 2 minutes away as well, JR train station was 15 min away. The onsen ... Oh so goooooooood! Spacious, peaceful, quiet, ideal for a soaking and relaxing.

Fushi Fushi Onsen offers a serene escape with stunning natural views, especially during sunset. The water is soothing and leaves your skin feeling rejuvenated. The peaceful atmosphere and kind staff make it a perfect place to relax and unwind.

Located in the Asamushi Onsen district of Aomori, Kaisenkaku is 19 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 2 km from Asamushi Aquarium. We like the Japanese style breakfast.

Situated in Aomori and only 20 km from Sannai-Maruyama site, Yadoya Tsubaki features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Very quiet area with very fresh air, a great place out of busy city live. Affordable and unique eateries , Lawson, coffee house and mini supermarket around. Onsen all around if you are onsen lover like me. This hotel has private and public onsen or bath the Japanese called them. Private bath just have to book when you arrive. 1min from asamushi station. Take train from Aomori to asamushi , 20mins 460yen. 2 to 3 days stays will be good. Service staff are friendly.
