I arrived earlier at the property on 5 January before check-in and staff arranged for my luggage to be moved into my room when I came back after exploring. Dinner was good and subsequently during check out i left my luggage at the counter to explore the town more before my train. When I came back and wanted to leave, staff provided me with a lift to the train station. It was raining at that time and the lift was appreciated despite the train station being quite close by. Excellent services by the staff here and I greatly appreciate it. Definite recommend.

So serene and beautiful. Very nicely built with beautiful gardens visible from hallways and rooms. Staff was super friendly and the kaiseki dinner was fantastic. Really loved this place and could see why it has been in business for 100 years.
