Onyado Nono Matsue Natural Hot Spring ligger i Matsue, 1,7 km från Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum, och erbjuder 4-stjärnigt boende med ett spa- och hälsocenter. Rummet var stort och ljust. Mycket bra och varierad frukost. Youghurt med färska jordgubbar uppskattades. Fint onsen med bad både ute och inne.

The Shiroyama Terrace Tsuyama Villa ligger i Tsuyama, 2 minuters promenad från Tsuyama Wonder Museum, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. By far the best hotel experience we had in our 1 month long trip to Japan. Hotel was easy to find with free parking and an excellent location with amazing service. Could have stayed here for a whole week with the castle views!

Staying at the Kinsuikan was a magical time. Being in the middle of everything, getting the traditional experience as well as able to use the onsen.

Hotel Miyajima Villa ligger i Miyajima, 2,3 km från Tsutsumigaura strand, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en restaurang och en bar. The ROOM. It was luxuriously spacious and the design very well thought of! There were 3 of us in the room and we didn’t feel cramped at all. There was lots of space to move around comfortably. The design of the bed was amazing! It was one long bed made from hard wood, fitted with 3 single mattresses side by side. In between the mattress there was space to put your phone, charger, watch, etc which effectively acted as a side table without wasting any space! And also there were power outlets for each ‘bed-side’, so there was no shortage of where to plug power chargers! That was a great plus! And though the bed frame was solid wood, it was very comfortable to sleep on, and I woke up every morning with no neck or back pains! The bathroom was also very well thought of. The wash sink, toilet and shower/bath tub were all separate, so all 3 of us could use the bathroom at the same time without waiting for our turn! One could wash her face first, while one was taking a shower and one using the toilet. Again, amazing! I especially loved how strong the water was because when I took a shower, I was also pooling water in the tub at the same time to soak in after, and the water pressure on both was strong! We loved the entertainment in the room as well. It was a big screen SmartTV where we could stream Netflix, Prime, YouTube, etc. Then, let’s talk about the massage chair. YES! there’s a massage chair in the room which was a perfect treat after our long trip from Tokyo, to Hiroshima then the ferry ride to the hotel. The location is one of the highlights. It’s right in front of the ferry station, which again was a plus since we were traveling with my elderly Mum who uses a wheelchair. Although we didn’t get to use the onsen, we did get to take a peek just to see the panoramic view. Very nice! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It’s one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Every small feature was carefully thought of, and no expense was spared on the amenities at all!

Miyajima Hotel New Kotobuki har ett centralt läge i Nakanocho på ön Miyajima, bara 5 minuters promenad från Miyajimas färjeterminal. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, with great suggestions for dinner and tourism!

Hagi No Yado Tomoe har ett perfekt läge i området Hagi Onsen-kyo i Hagi, 12 minuters promenad från Kikugahama strand, 1,8 km från Shokasonjuku Academy och 1,8 km från Shoin Shrine. Excellent service and all staff were so accommodating

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. Det var jättefint! Kändes genuint. Onsen var toppen!

The location is fantastic. The views of the lake are beautiful. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the staff keep them spotlessly clean. The Japanese breakfasts are exceptional. And the staff are warm and friendly, and always helpful.
