We had an incredible stay here: the ryokan is impressive (especially the arrival with the person playing the shamisen), very beautiful, the food excellent and adaptable (we took vegetarian meals), the establishment is child-friendly (e.g. yukata at their sizes, arrival kits, high chairs and adapted cutlery), the room is magnificent and very suitable for a family. A bookable shuttle service is in place and works very well, allowing us to leave and arrive from Aizu Wakamatsu station. We also reserved the outdoor bath for private use: incredible! The staff is adorable and helpful: thank you very much!

Our stay at Sansuiso Spa was truly exceptional. The quality of the food, the elegance of the traditional meals, and the overall attention to detail created an unforgettable experience. Every member of the team was kind and attentive, making us feel welcome from the first moment. I would like to highlight one person in particular—her name was Abe Moka. She attended us during a private dinner and again at breakfast the next day. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine care were extraordinary. She anticipated every need, explained the dishes beautifully, and created a calm and joyful atmosphere. She was, without doubt, the best of the best. Sansuiso Spa is incredibly fortunate to have her on the team. Her service elevated our entire stay, and I sincerely believe she deserves recognition—perhaps even a salary raise—for the outstanding hospitality she offers to guests. Highly recommended. We hope to return soon.

藤龍館-TOURYUKAN-Yunokamionsen features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 6.7 km of Ouchi-juku and 27 km of Aizuwakamatsu Station. Hospitality at its best! Exceptional service by all staff! Above and beyond the call of duty, the staff went out of their way to provide impeccable service in all areas: arrival, reception, attention to detail, care and attention, assistance, warm service straight from the heart, and explaining everything with patience. Food served was of extraordinary standards and high quality. True hospitality is not about facilities , it’s about service straight from the heart. All other Ryokans should send their staff here for training and to learn true hospitality

Külalistemaja TAKITA-KAN asub Iwakis, 32 km kaugusel Aquamarine Fukushimast. Kohapeal on ühine puhkeruum, tasuta eraparkla ja aed. Külalistemajas on peretoad. An exceptional place to relax! We loved everything! The perfect location, delicious food and stunning nature!

Kutsurogijyuku Shintaki asub JR Aizuwakamatsu jaamast 15-minutilise bussisõidu kaugusel. Kohapeal on 4 kuumaveeallikat, kus on tasuta voolav allikavesi. Kohapeal on tasuta WiFi-ühendus ja restoran. This was our favorite hotel in Japan. It is perched on a steep hillside and has a lovely ambiance that is both luxurious and authentically Japanese. We splurged on a room with a private onsen and its own deck which was absolutely fabulous. We had a car, so getting there did not involve taking a taxi from the train station in town. However, it was a bit difficult to find when we first arrived and Google sent us to a different hotel.

Harumiya Ryokan asub Fukushimas, Nihonmatsu jaamast 24 km ja Koriyama jaamast 41 km kaugusel. Majutusruumides on istumisnurk. Beautiful location next to a mountain stream. Out of the way. Well-appointed facility with and friendly, helpful staff.

Located in Koriyama, 18 km from Koriyama Station, Moritaya features accommodation with a hot spring bath and a public bath. Everything was absolutely amazing!!!!

Located in Ashinomaki Onsen, 渓谷美の宿川音 provides some air-conditioned rooms with private open-air hot spring bath. While the area is a bit remote, there is a bus stop 100m away from the hotel. The staff didn't speak English too well, but always had a lot of patience with me, so using translation apps made things easier. They will go above and beyond to make sure you get what you need. While the private onsen was sadly booked out, I did enjoy my lovely river and mountain view. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing, with tons of food choices!

Hotell Route Inn Grand Fukushima Ekimae Higashiguchi asub Fukushimas, Nihonmatsu jaamast 27 km ja Koriyama jaamast 49 km kaugusel. Location, women only baths and restaurant.

Guesthouse & Kitchen Hace asub Iwakis, 11 km kaugusel Aquamarine Fukushimast. Kahetärniline majutusasutus on ühise puhkeruumi, restorani ja baariga. Breakfast was individually organised and wrapped that made the whole experience a lot more unique. The whole building was an ex taxi noffice in traditional style. Had a cute little table for eating food. Don't expect spacious facilities, but if you are after traditional Japanese experience with home atmosphere, this Guesthouse is for you.
