Best hotel experience during our honeymoon in Japan from the girl at the front desk (unfortunately I can’t remember her name but she was super nice) to the dinner. Our “room” was indeed a small apartment with a private thermal bath and a small garden.

3.3 km from Kinumaki Shrine in Toyooka, Migumiya Ryokan offers accommodation with access to a hot spring bath. It is located 4.7 km from Seto Shrine and features free shuttle service. Very nice friendly host who spoke English and explained to us everything we needed.

Set in Kinosaki, 2.6 km from Kinumaki Shrine, Akaishiya 城崎温泉旅館 赤石屋 offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking and a garden. Exceptionally kind staff. Very helpful, they gave me thorough explanations on how to use the nearby onsens.

Yumoto Ueyama Ryokan provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 15 km of Himeji Castle and 42 km of Omiya Hachiman Shrine. Dîner and breakfast was amazing

Situated in Toyooka, 2.8 km from Kinumaki Shrine, Kinosaki Onsen Hanakouji Saigetsu features accommodation with a hot spring bath and a public bath. Wonderful ryokan. Offered us beautiful youkata to wear around the town. Private bath was excellent and the having a property bed was so nice for someone from North America!

A recently renovated ryokan in Toyooka and within 2.8 km of Kinumaki Shrine, Kobayashiya -Kinosaki Onsen- features a garden, comfortable allergy-free rooms and free WiFi. Beautiful, very zen hotel, with 5-star staff, service and food. All the traditional ryokan elements with a touch of class, modernity and refinement. Super well located for the 7 onsen - close to Goshono-yu, our favourite! Food was stellar! Thank you to all the staff who made us feel like home.

Boasting an open-air hot springs bath and spacious garden, Arima Grand Hotel is located a 10-minute walk away from Arima Onsen Station. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. Amazing hotel. Not a cheap one, but it is definitelly worth the money. We definitelly recommend to take a room with a view, seeing mountains in the morning was wonderful. We didn't have a ryokan-type room but were still amazed by the quiality of everything - cleanliness, design, etc. Our room had a capsule coffee machine, a set for drinking tea, hair brushes, hair pins and other small things that added a pinch of comfort to our stay. The hotel also provides guests with Japanese-style clothing: a set of a "shirt" and pants, and a yukata. You can walk in it everywhere in the hotel which was very nice. The hotel has public onsens on two floors, both have open-air baths. The staff is very understanding and would help with the rules of visiting. You can also book private onsens that turned out to be not very expensive. Sometimes the hotel holds special events. We managed to visit stargazing and saw Jupiter through a telescope while eating sweet potatos! The hotel provides a bus that regularly travels through the Arima village. You can also call the hotel to pick you up. The village itself is very beautiful. There is a ropeway to the nearby mountain. I heard you can also hike to the summit.

Located a 5-minute taxi ride from Sannomiya Station and Motomachi Station, Kobe Minato Onsen Ren boasts a variety of hot spring baths, a year-round hot spring outdoor pool, an indoor swimming pool, a... Everything perfect for my family ! I love to stay next time as well!!!
