Peaceful place, very delicious food, welcoming service, spacious and clean room. We have booked a Japanese style room, the view was picturesque. The onsen is very good, there is also a resting room with coffee and tea. Everything was perfect.

3.3 km from Kinumaki Shrine in Toyooka, Migumiya Ryokan offers accommodation with access to a hot spring bath. It is located 4.7 km from Seto Shrine and features free shuttle service. Very nice friendly host who spoke English and explained to us everything we needed.

Set in Kinosaki, 2.6 km from Kinumaki Shrine, Akaishiya 城崎温泉旅館 赤石屋 offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking and a garden. The staff members were extremely friendly and kind. I had a lot of chances to ask them for tips about the area, and it enhanced my stay. I had really heavy luggage, and the staff members helped me get them to my room with no problem. The room itself was beautiful and it was a perfect base for heading out to explore the town and try all the onsen. It had comfortable and clean beds and even a little space to sit and relax. The hotel was in a central location, but still quiet and serene. Their amenities were very nice. I loved the yukata, jacket, and shoes you could borrow to walk around the town. The breakfast was the nicest hotel breakfast I have had in Japan, with local delicacies and traditional food.

Yumoto Ueyama Ryokan provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 15 km of Himeji Castle and 42 km of Omiya Hachiman Shrine. Gracious staff. Excellent food.

Situated in Toyooka, 2.8 km from Kinumaki Shrine, Kinosaki Onsen Hanakouji Saigetsu features accommodation with a hot spring bath and a public bath. The staff was super nice and attentive. This is a very traditional ryokan which is very near the Kinosakionsen train station.

Kobayashiya -Kinosaki Onsen- provides a hot spring bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi in Toyooka, 2.8 km from Kinumaki Shrine. Had an amazing experience at Kobayashiya. Really can't overstate it, it is on the expensive side but was one of the highlights of our trip. The location is perfect, the setting is adhering to Japanese standards of aesthetics, sober and traditional. The dinner was an experience worth the whole price of the night in and out itself. I am considering coming back to Kinosaki just to stay at this ryokan again. Thanks a lot for the experience!

Boasting an open-air hot springs bath and spacious garden, Arima Grand Hotel is located a 10-minute walk away from Arima Onsen Station. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. Amazing hotel. Not a cheap one, but it is definitelly worth the money. We definitelly recommend to take a room with a view, seeing mountains in the morning was wonderful. We didn't have a ryokan-type room but were still amazed by the quiality of everything - cleanliness, design, etc. Our room had a capsule coffee machine, a set for drinking tea, hair brushes, hair pins and other small things that added a pinch of comfort to our stay. The hotel also provides guests with Japanese-style clothing: a set of a "shirt" and pants, and a yukata. You can walk in it everywhere in the hotel which was very nice. The hotel has public onsens on two floors, both have open-air baths. The staff is very understanding and would help with the rules of visiting. You can also book private onsens that turned out to be not very expensive. Sometimes the hotel holds special events. We managed to visit stargazing and saw Jupiter through a telescope while eating sweet potatos! The hotel provides a bus that regularly travels through the Arima village. You can also call the hotel to pick you up. The village itself is very beautiful. There is a ropeway to the nearby mountain. I heard you can also hike to the summit.
