The hotel staff were always attentive and willing to help — they even went out of their way to find lactose-free ice cream for us :) They also assisted us with restaurant reservations, and thanks to them we were able to dine during crab season and try fresh crab, even though all restaurants were fully booked. Our room was exceptionally clean, very spacious, and beautifully designed. The beds were extremely comfortable, the tea selection was excellent, and the Japanese breakfast was delicious. The location is very convenient — we could easily walk to all the main places. The hotel also offers a free lounge with complimentary drinks and snacks, including juices, wine, and various appetizers. The selection was very generous and all of it was included in the price. In addition, the in-room minibar offered a wide variety of drinks and snacks, all included and replenished without limits. Highly recommended

The facilities were so perfectly clean and well well maintained and well equipped, especially the Onsen We stayed in a traditional Japanese room and loved it, including the futons to sleep on the floor The staff was extremely attentive, helpful and friendly. The dinner experience was the highlight of our Japan trip and I can only recommend it!

Located just 19 km from Kanazawa Castle, Matsusaki offers accommodation in Nomi with access to an open-air bath, a garden, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Natalie was helping us greatly, explaining everything to us. Even how to eat each course of our very delicious meals (the food was extraordinary and varied!). She made sure to organize our stay and all needs, like getting us to the airport in the early morning. Thank you so much, Natalie! We could stay without worries and relax in your care. The bathing area, especially the roof baths, are relaxing and invite to lean back and enjoy hot water and a clear sky - or even the sun rise / sun set. After a soak, there are a water dispensor and massage chairs waiting outside. It's perfect. As a tourist, I was also delighted about the shop in the lobby, which offered local specialities at a reasonable price. We tried a few sweets and they were very delicious, so we got some more to bring home. We'll make sure to come back on our next trip to Japan!

Situated in Kaga, 32 km from Eiheiji Temple, Araya Totoan features accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and massage services. A truly stunning, historical and special stay. The owner and team were so wonderful and looked after us beautifully. The suite itself was divine. Soaking in a cedar tub while looking at the forest floor is something we’ll never forget. The private dining room makes your stay feel even more exclusive. The food was truly out of this world. Our baby was catered for beautifully. We even had a large Moses basket in the dining room for her to rest. The area itself is very cool- there was an arts and crafts fair there when we stayed. There is a beautiful forest walk too. Can’t fault the stay and can’t wait to return one day.

Beautiful, huge room with private onsen. Staff treated us like royalty. Food was top notch. Cute, walkable little mountain village with relocated Edo houses and nature trails. Amazing experience!

Offering mountain views, Kanazawa Hyakurakusou in Kanazawa features accommodation, an open-air bath, a garden, a terrace, a bar and a shared lounge. I was a bit nervous about staying since my Japanese isn't super great, but they had English speaking staff who helped us whenever it was needed. So there aren't any language barriers for English speakers. Wonderful place and service is great if you know what you're getting into.
