This was by far the best hotel in which I have stayed in my multiple trips to Iwate. Amazing customer service, overall cleanliness and amenities. The lobby workers were incredibly helpful and gave us all the information that we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the multiple options for pillows were a nice addition. Thank you so much!

This place was an amazing stop-over on our train journey from Kyoto to Sapporo. I think we were especially lucky being here on a Monday night as we were virtually the only people here! It meant that my son and I got the public onsen to ourselves which is superb (the outside area is right next to falling snow and a stream).

We visited with our two small children. The owner rearranged for another day after we couldn’t take the train due to heavy rains. He also was very kind by taking us to some grocery stores for getting food for that extra day, and also drove us to a place where our children could play. We had a very pleasant stay!

Five star service in a five star ryokan. Worth the price. Free yukata with different sizes and design available for guests. Very peaceful ryokan. Wish we could stay longer to explore the surrounding nature. Kaiseki dinner and breakfast was amazing. Staff was so attentive to our requests and took the time asking about our dietary requirements. Massage chairs available for guests to use. Loved the Indoor and outdoor public bath. Highly recommended for those who wants a luxury ryokan experience.

Yukaen in Hanamaki has 4-star accommodation with an open-air bath and a garden. This ryokan features free private parking and a lift.
