Everything! But the stand out feature of this wonderful property was the service. The entire team was delightful. Helpful. Friendly. They anticipated our every need plus more! Excellent and clear pre trip communication via email in excellent English. Lovely Onsen facilities. Excellent restaurant who went over and above to please us. Easy day trip from here to Miyajima.

The hotel is close to the harbour where you can get to the famous Itsukushima Jinja in 15 minutes. You can also go to the centre of Hiroshima by just one train without any transfer. And further down there are the beautiful Simose Art Museum and Kintaikyo Bridge within 30 minutes drive. Other than the location, they have hot spring you can enjoy and the interior is very cozy. Some amazing coffees around the area as well. But the most impressive part was their food. I stayed for 5 nights so I was expecting repeated menus at least for 3 nights (which I have experienced in the other stays in Japan). And then they surprised me with 4 different menus which all tasted AMAZING. The last night was the same menu as my first night which actually made me feel like a perfect ending for the trip. A big applause to the chefs!

It was such a beautiful place to stay. Tomo, the host, and her lovely mother we're so helpful. They picked us up from the ferry terminal and dropped us off at the train station after our stay. We really enjoyed sitting on the terrace and admiring the stunning sea views. We enjoyed the BBQ facilities that were provided. What a great way to enjoy dinner on the terrace on our first night. Tomo provided us with lots of useful information about the local area. She made a reservation for us at a local steakhouse, Tino. We enjoyed the best steak we've ever eaten 😋 We would highly recommend booking accommodation at Garden Resort Shiomian. You won't be disappointed.

The room was very clean, spacious by Japanese standards, and offered serene traditional atmosphere blended seamlessly with modern conforms. There was a terrace with a beautiful view adding on to the comfort of the room. The dinner was traditional Japanese-style and for sure it should not be missed! The multi-course kaiseki meal was beautifully presented and very delicious, including fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. The hotel's location is good for visiting the Itsukushima Torii (Water gate) as it is just one station away from it but at the same time away from the madness of the island.

29 km from Atomic Bomb Dome in Hatsukaichi, Sekitei provides accommodation with access to a hot spring bath, spa facilities and wellness packages.

The location and accommodation and staff where second to none.! The food was next level and included both evening meal and magnificent breakfast. the Onsen both private and public where lovely and relaxing .

Great view across the bay and out into the inland sea. Spacious room, comfortable beds, and busses that travel directly from the hotel to Hiroshima station. An ideal day if you're coming to Hiroshima via ferry from Matsuyama.
