Saunaga Onyado Shikishima-kan asub Kitahamaebisu pühamust 32 km ja Takamatsu Heike Monogatari ajaloomuuseumist 34 km kaugusel. Kohapeal on tasuta eraparkla. The inn was so beautiful and many wonderful qualities. It's location is in the middle of a lively street full of shops and restaurants and a close (though uphill) walk to a temple. The in-room amenities were wonderful: whole coffee beans, a grinder, a coffee pot and cups, a separate teapot and teacups, pajamas, robes, and any necessary toiletries. The provided breakfast and dinner was delicious, traditional Japanese fare with English menus to explain the nightly courses (though I'd still suggest having a translator app). Last, but certainly not least: the baths were incredible. I appreciate that the private baths did not need a reservation and were all themed differently. So relaxing!! All my worries melted away here.

Located in Kasuga, 26 km from Takamatsu, Asan Kotonami features a terrace and views of the mountain. The ryokan has a hot spring bath and sauna, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. Very beautiful location and Ryokan. Everything was perfect the room and also the gastronomic food with a wonderful sake. What do you want more.

A 15-minute walk from JR Kotohira Station, Kotohira Kadan offers natural hot spring baths and spacious Japanese-style rooms, some with a private outdoor hot spring bath. This property is truly a gem. While I can comment only on the room we stayed in, room 503 which was a Japanese style room, I would rate it as a 10/10. The staff are all lovely. Every single staff member that crossed our path was very helpful, polite and friendly. Our room had a gorgeous 180 degree view over Kotohira. The sound of the river below was so nice. If I was to stay again, I would stay in a western style room simply because I found it difficult to get off the floor. I peeked in room 302 on my way out and think any western room on that side of that building with that view, could not be beat. We did not have our dinners at the hotel but did have breakfast every day for the four days we were there. The amount of food is enough to set you for the entire day. I enjoyed a vegetarian western breakfast while my husband enjoyed the Japanese breakfast. The food is delicious, the presentation is beautifully done and the service is exceptional. Such a hard working team. The staff were happy to take us to the train station whoever we wanted to go on a day trip. A day trip to the Iya valley and one to the Ritsurin gardens should not be missed.

Dormy Inn Takamatsu Chuo Koenmae Natural Hot Spring is situated in Takamatsu, within 4.5 km of Asahi Green Park and 6.9 km of Cormorant Shrine. Property is 10 min bus ride and 20 min walking from Takamatsu train station . I have booked several Dormy inn’s across Japan and this one was good just like the other locations. Service was good! Nice hot bath!, hot sauna, cold bath facilities (for the men side at least). Breakfast that I reserved was also very good-this location have self served udon which match the uniqueness of Takamatsu.

Beautiful and majestic old-school onsen hotel. Fantastic view. Lovely onsen. I changed my plans just to enjoy it for another day. Note: there is a shuttle bus pick-up at the port (bus will come within 15 minutes when you call (before 6pm)) - you'll see the pick-up point in front of the low building). There are also drop-offs scheduled in the morning. Great big breakfast. Bicycle available to order.

Old-school resort hotel with retro bubble era elegance and classic hospitality. Shuttle bus toAngel Road and various ports available with advance reservation. Loved the yukata corner and gift shop. Great onsen and spacious room with outstanding views.

A 5-minute walk from JR Kotohira Train Station, Kotosankaku Hiten provides Japanese rooms with traditional futon beds and Konpira Mountain views. Most incredible amazing meal ever! Absolutely stellar dinner and breakfast was awesome. The hotel itself is old but there is so much character to it. Highlight of the trip for sure
