Ideally situated in the centre of Kyoto, ALA HOTEL KYOTO features air-conditioned rooms, a fitness centre, free WiFi and a restaurant. This 4-star hotel provides a spa experience, with its hot spring bath and spa centre. The hotel offers a sauna and a 24-hour front desk. Very friendly and helpful staff. As many have mentioned, the rooms have a fake decoration window that lets a lot of light inside. The staff promptly helped us cover the window. The design of the room is also great. You have a separate toilet and sink from the shower.

LIBER HOTEL Osaka features air-conditioned rooms with satellite flat-screen TV in the Osaka Bay district of Osaka. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and ticket service, along with free WiFi. The hotel has a garden and provides a terrace. Liber Hotel exceeded my expectation. I was just checking hotels close to Universal, and this hotel popped up on Booking with super high marks. And now I understand they really deserve that mark. It's a massive hotel with lots of facilities. Highlight is their sightseeing escalator, you can see the whole Universal. Our room was facing another side and you could see the Ferris Wheel which was a such surprise for me at night time. It's super convenient since you only walk half minute from the train station to the hotel. There's also a 7-11 convenience store about 200 metres away. It's only one station away from Universal or you can choose to walk there too. It's also easy to transfer to other trains to the central of Osaka. Morning breakfast is a little bit pricy, for adult is 4400 yen and kids above 6 years old is 2200yen, but I feel it worth it since the food quality was awesome. The food was variety and fresh, so many options. The restaraunt also has a massive patio you could eat outside and enjoy the view of the harbor. For the ranking, I will give them 10/10.

Featuring natural hot spring baths on site, Onyado Nono Nara Natural Hot Spring is set in Nara, just a 3-minute walk from JR Nara Station. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, and private parking is available on site. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Kofuku-ji Temple is 15 minutes on foot. After your check in, when you put your shoes away and walk into a traditional room where your house PJ's awaits you, than you feel like being in a Studio Gibli movie :) Loved this old style Hotel, very clean, with comfy beds and a good hot shower. Kettle on with their drip coffee pads. Location is perfect just across the train station and ca 20min walk to Nara park. The staff were helpful and spoke English. The onsen is very nice and clean, has all the amenities you need. They offer free ice-cream after the onsen. In the evening at 21:30hr they offer free noodles where most people come in their Jakata PJ's. Very relax atmosphere. Breakfast has a incredible breakfast japanese and continental selection. I would certainly recommend this hotel!

This guesthouse is located along one of the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Routes and Yunomine Hot Spring, said to be one of the oldest hot springs baths in Japan, is a 5-minute walk from the property.

There are 2 indoor hot springs baths and an open-air bath at the property. We stayed here as a stopover during the Kumano Kodo. What a wonderful stay! Great place, the common area is well-equipped, and the private onsen (three in total) is absolutely the best after a day of hiking. Yunomine Onsen is a lovely little village. Highly recommend!

Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. Guests can wear colourful yukata robes at the property. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Morizuya staff were exceptional. They delivered excellent service throughout our stay. Examples include detailed welcome/ tea ceremony, proactive offering to help us take photographs, helping us with the correct way to tie our yukatas and driving our luggages to the train station. Dinner was delicious and simply wow. Breakfast was a delight too. Will highly recommend anyone looking to stay a night(s) in Kinosaki Onsen to seriously consider Morizuya as your first choice. Traditional multi-course dinners, hot-spring baths overlooking old forests, and spacious Japanese rooms with nature views await guests at Negiya Ryofukaku. The property is a 3-minute walk from Arima-Onsen Train Station. Massages are available, and free WiFi can be enjoyed at the lobby.

When not enjoying one of the indoor or open-air baths, you can check out the souvenir shop or explore the area’s other hot springs. Luggage can be stored at the 24-hour front desk. As someone who's never been to an Onsen or a Ryokan, it was a one of a kind experience you could not get elsewhere. The staffs were incredibly friendly and very accommodating throughout our stay - they even helped to cater to our dietary requirements for our included breakfast. After check-in, a staff gave us a tour of the entire Inn and the Onsens, as well as our room, and gave us a leaflet with information of everything we'd need. The 2 public Onsens and the private Onsens they have were beautiful, and even had a web app you could conveniently use to check if they were vacant or busy. The breakfast was amazing, and the surrounding area was beautiful and had plenty of souvenir shops and eateries with amazing food. The location was also super near to the local bus terminal and train station, and you could easily get to/from them and these shops by walking. Should you need transportation to get to/from the Ryokan, they also provide free shuttle during certain hours you could easily request for by calling them up. To those coming here from Osaka, the easiest route I found was to get to the Hankyu Bus Terminal just outside of the Osaka Station and to get bus tickets to Arima Onsen which costed me 1,400 JPY - the bus journey itself took about ~45 mins-1 hour. All in all, I highly recommend anyone wishing for this Ryokan/Onsen experience to stay here.
