Location was great - 5 min from train/bus station, clean and modern rooms (enough space for Japanese hotels), lovely staff and cozy onsen! We had a great time here!

The room was very big and comfortable, everything was clean and tidy. We loved it so much that we decided to stay an extra night, and the staff was able to accomodate our needs immediately. The location is great, just a couple blocks away from the train station and 15 min walk from the historic area of the city

Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. The hostel was located in a Showa era ryokan building, right next to the Tokaikan and only 300 mts. from the beach. It's like immersing yourself in a Miyazaki movie, but with today's plumbing. The place is exquisitely preserved, with a large lounge area and free access to the banquet halls to relax. There are small Showa era decorations all around, so it is fun to go looking around. It also has a complete kitchen. The public onsen in the basement is really nice, altough a bit small, but I was alone everytime I went there, so I had a huge bath to myself, comparatively. If you are reluctant to share a bath, there are also two small private onsen that you can use. The staff was really friendly and they recommended a lot of nice local restaurants for dinner.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. The staff was super friendly, the room was fantastic, the location was perfect and the onsen was brilliant. 10/10 place to stay.

Set in Ito, 30 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, リゾートホテル伊東山荘-Toki- offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. From being picked up from the Station, until we departed this was an exceptional place to stay. An full apartment sized room, a soak in one of the two hot springs, two western-style breakfasts, our favorite hotel on a 15 hotel tour of japan. Front of house and chef were both great.

33 km from Koibito Misaki Cape in Shimoda, 横川温泉湯殿ととのゆ provides accommodation with access to a hot spring bath, hot tub and open-air bath. We will be back! WOW. This was a shot in the dark booking since I couldn’t find a place near the beach that was tattoo friendly. We were blown away at the facility, amenities and overall beauty of the location. I booked 3 rooms. Everyone had their own private onsen bath. My husband and I upgraded to the sauna barrel room and we LOVED IT. The guys all did sauna in the morning. They even give you handmade authentic sauna hats. Breakfast was simple but filling. Half of the group did the Japanese style, half did American. My jumbo toast made me feel like I was in a Ghibli movie having breakfast. There is a vending machine in the breakfast area was a variety of snacks and drinks. Our van made it on the roads to the property. So a standard vehicle will have no issue. Beautiful creak flowing in the backyard of every room. Every room has an entrance, toilet & sink room, living room (doubles as bedroom bc you have tatami beds), vanity sink & rack, THEN sliding door to your shower & bath, THEN sliding door to your porch with seating. Our room had the barrel immediately to the left of the porch with ANOTHER outdoor tub. Price was excellent!!
