Conveniently set in Takayama, hotel around TAKAYAMA, an Ascend Collection Hotel provides air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi and a bar. Thumbs up, efficient , super clean, eco friendly, spacious, everything are perfect. The staff arrange the rooms for us in such a way that we live as if we are in the same room. Very convenient. We are group of 7 rented 2 rooms for 4 and 3 each. Perfect. The room located at 8 floor which having public lounge for us to socialize. The staffs were thoughtful.

SOKI ATAMI features a sauna and a hot spring bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Atami, 1.7 km from Atami Sun Beach. This 4-star ryokan offers a 24-hour front desk and a lift. Everything was amazing! We booked 2 rooms, one with indoor bath and one with outdoor. Highly recommend the outdoor one, although I would book any room at Soki Atami again when I have the chance

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. This Ryokan is exceptional. So clean and well appointed. The family are so friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We loved our dinner in the dining room that we booked in advance. We were very fortunate to be visiting at Christmas time and the Christmas dinner had so much thought and time put into it, making it a very memorable meal and stay for our family.

The hosts did a lot to accommodate us and gave a very good service. We received some tea on arrival and some nice gifts upon departure and during our stay we could taste local sake and plum wine.

Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. Amazing house. Beautiful old house and very convenient to use onsen right at the facility

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. The breakfast & dinner are served in the restaurant with a magnificent view of the surrounding adding a superb experience to the dining. Food is excellent. The private onsen in the Annex is also excellent & we loved to bath in both the private & public onsens. In addition, for non-Japanese speaking tourists, the ability to talk in English is definitely the best among all the hotels/ resorts I have been in Japan.

Set in Ito, 30 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, リゾートホテル伊東山荘-Toki- offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. From being picked up from the Station, until we departed this was an exceptional place to stay. An full apartment sized room, a soak in one of the two hot springs, two western-style breakfasts, our favorite hotel on a 15 hotel tour of japan. Front of house and chef were both great.

33 km from Koibito Misaki Cape in Shimoda, 横川温泉湯殿ととのゆ provides accommodation with access to a hot spring bath, hot tub and open-air bath. We will be back! WOW. This was a shot in the dark booking since I couldn’t find a place near the beach that was tattoo friendly. We were blown away at the facility, amenities and overall beauty of the location. I booked 3 rooms. Everyone had their own private onsen bath. My husband and I upgraded to the sauna barrel room and we LOVED IT. The guys all did sauna in the morning. They even give you handmade authentic sauna hats. Breakfast was simple but filling. Half of the group did the Japanese style, half did American. My jumbo toast made me feel like I was in a Ghibli movie having breakfast. There is a vending machine in the breakfast area was a variety of snacks and drinks. Our van made it on the roads to the property. So a standard vehicle will have no issue. Beautiful creak flowing in the backyard of every room. Every room has an entrance, toilet & sink room, living room (doubles as bedroom bc you have tatami beds), vanity sink & rack, THEN sliding door to your shower & bath, THEN sliding door to your porch with seating. Our room had the barrel immediately to the left of the porch with ANOTHER outdoor tub. Price was excellent!!
