The property is outstanding. It is very beautiful and well kept. The architecture and style are gorgeous. It’s comfortable, the kitchen is perfect and if you need dinner the hosts happily help you by offering to provide it from their restaurant they own nearby. The views of the mountain are breathtaking to have with coffee. We also loved how easy it was to organise horse riding, cycling, or hiking through the canyon which is on the Transcaucasian trail.

Our host, Meriam, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. She welcomed us with open arms and treated us like family, ensuring every detail of our visit was perfect. She even surprised us by arranging a birthday cake, which added such a personal and thoughtful touch to our trip. The neighbors were equally kind and helpful, always ready to offer assistance or share a friendly smile, adding to the warmth of the experience. One of the highlights was the delicious local Armenian cuisine Meriam served. Each dish was flavorful and authentic, giving us a real taste of the region’s culture and traditions—we’re definitely going to miss those meals! In the evenings, we had unexpected tour guides: the local cats, who we enjoyed following around as they led us through the area. The skies were crystal clear, providing a mesmerizing opportunity for stargazing, and the mountains offered plenty of opportunities for birdwatching. Every moment here felt magical, and it’s safe to say we’re already planning our next visit. We can’t wait to return in the summer to experience the beauty of this place in a whole new light. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, heartwarming getaway in Armenia!

We loved everything about Khachatryan’s Guest House. The cleanliness was beyond reproach and the facilities in the room were new. We were provided with a kettle, tea and coffee and a great view to the garden. We loved the garden, which simply invites you to come and sit in the comfortable hanging rockers and pick a few sweet grapes from the arbor. Breakfast was included and was plentiful and excellent, including eggs, different coffees or teas, breads, honey with honeycomb, cheeses, etc. Mostly, we so enjoyed meeting our host, Edgar. He went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and provided great dinner recommendations. He was so personable and friendly that we quickly considered him a friend.

I stayed for one day on the way to Goris. The room was quite good with three beds, a bathroom, a shared kitchen etc. The amenities were good. Sahak was very helpful in showing local places to eat and very welcoming and friendly. He also found me a good driver with a great rate to Goris. Highly recommended.
