Friendly welcome at reception, with plenty of recommendations for things to do. Wood fire heater was loaded and ready to go in arrival. Spa bath was a great spot to relax too.

We only stayed as a stopover on the way to the West Coast, but it turned out to be a really interesting stay. Lots of history in this place and we learnt a lot. Decent cabin, well equipped.

Breakfast was excellent. The food was delicious. We loved the picnic Lunches. A 3 course dinner and pre dinner drinks and canapes where also included. We stayed longer than most people. The staff changed our last 3 nights main course so we wouldn't have the same food we had already eaten. That was beyond and above anything we were expecting.

Such a lovely property! It’s modern, clean & has everything you need. Being remote, we bought all our groceries with us & the kitchen is supplied with all cooking equipment & utensils - we even baked cookies for our 4 year old! It’s nice & warm with a heat pump & the beds are very comfy. Highly recommend.

Very cozy chalet with real wood fire, heating lamps in bathroom with jacuzzi, everything very clean. Wifi was down, but we received a router to contact home. Car could stay in carport right at the chalet. Close to see „The Wall in the Wilderness“. Might not look like much from the Outside, but this place is a real gem.

We stayed here as a one-night stop over on a rainy winter's day. We were thrilled with our spacious cabin - undercover parking so we could get everything unpacked easily, the log heater set ready to light, and a complimentary port to enjoy by the fire. Plenty of cooking equipment and crockery so we could make our dinner, and ground coffee in the fridge to use in the coffee plunger, as well as a coffee pod machine. You can see the thought and care that has gone into Highland Cabins, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This cabin had everything you could possibly need. It was well equipped to cope with any cold weather. The bed was extremely comfortable and equipped with warm bedding and an electric blanket. Kitchen had adequate equipment. Bonus was a drink of Port to welcome us to the cabins, which went down a treat. Parking is under an individual carport which is handy during inclement weather. This is good alternative accommodation to Derwent Bridge and is a handy stop to Queenstown and Strahan.

Large well equipped cabin with outdoor deck and seating, perfect for the afternoon drink. Huge bed and it was very comfortable . Full size fridge and plenty of bench and table space. Gloria was very helpful. As it was going to be cold overnight, she had heaters on so our arrival was warm. Port was a nice welcome gift. Covered car park was good as it was very windy as we packed to leave.

Very comfortable, clean and roomy cottage with every facility for an extended stay. Two heaters and electric blankets ensured a warm room. Undercover car parking was a bonus.
