I booked the Superior Cabin. The room is extremely spacious and great value for money, with a compact kitchenette. My check-in was after 7 pm, which was past the staff’s usual hours, yet the lady who greeted me was incredibly welcoming. I asked to borrow olive oil and aluminium foil, and she was happy to lend them to me. The location is very close to the ferry terminal, making it an ideal base for a trip to Maria Island. Highly recommended!

Most friendly staff, price was excellent, very large room, good food in the bistro. 2 min drive from town centre.

We had an exceptional stay at the cottage. Super comfortable bed, perfect place to relax.

Beautiful property with very high spec. Lots of lovely pine furniture and fittings. If you’re staying for a little longer than us there are great facilities for relaxing in the garden with BBQ and Firepit etc. Good location for Maria Island tours, about 6 minutes from the Gateway. Lovely views across to the Island itself.

The location is great. Opposite the river, walking track, public jetty. Easy walk to the IGA and cafes, also to Hotel for meals. The house itself is very comfortable. Great for couples or families. Beds are comfortable, kitchen has everything needed, very clean and uncluttered. The back yard is fully fenced so safe for children and dogs. Great out door furniture, even a TV in the outdoor lounge. Very quiet and peaceful location.

If you plan to go to Maria Island, Triabunna Barracks is the perfect place to stay (just one minute drive to the ferry terminal). But it’s way more than that, the owners Kim and John have made exceptional efforts to renovate the property into a stylish accommodation with all modern comforts and a unique character. Their homemade brekkie is fresh and tasteful, another highlight during the stay. We’re really impressed by what this place has to offer. (Renee and Jamie)

The most amazing experience to sleep with the sound of the rain and the Tasmanian wilderness in a very comfortable bed. We spotted kangaroos and even a Tasmanian devil! Shower and toilet facilities were very convenient and clean, kitchen has all the basics. The only thing we missed is a starry sky but we will be back for that!

This room is very clean and spacious, perfect for a family trip. Its living room is also very large, and there is a kitchen with neatly arranged tableware. I really like its yard, which has a barbecue grill, a laundry room and plenty of parking spaces. Opposite it are a supermarket, a pizza shop and a post office. It is only a 10-minute drive from the port of Maria Island, which is very convenient.
