Very nice hotel. Staff are all very welcoming and accommodating. Facilities were very nice especially liked the saunas and Turkish hamam. Location is fairly central, so it's walkable from the main sights and easy to find. I really liked the stay and this is a great value for money. Breakfast variety was good and restaurant food in the evening was of excellent quality. Would recommend if you want to stay in the city.

I can only agree with the many positive reviews. For me the perfect place to stay. Very good and quiet location, just a 2-3 minutes walk to the central park, and 15 min walk to the bus station. Markets, restaurants and parks are very close. The room was big, there was an etra kitchen and from the windows you'll look to the big garden, everything was very new. I particularly value the big shared balcony. The owners are extremely friendly; we had some nice conversations in the evenings. They provicded a lot recomendations which places to visit or where to eat, I appreciated that, it saved my time to find that out by myself. English, Russian and bit Spanish was spoken.

We stayed 3 nights at Ali's Ancient House. A family run operation in their own home. They are extremely pleasant, caring and kind. the place is very nicely renovated, comfortable and oh so spotlessly clean!!! They are great hosts, super welcoming and always ready to help. Fouad the host ran out to provide us with umbrellas the first day. They gave us extra blankets and always asking if we need anything extra to make us comfortable. We even asked them to make us breakfast, extra 10 manat a person, that is homemade, delicious and plentiful. The hosts value their guests privacy and we felt at home indeed. Highly recommend this guesthouse.

Amazing hosts! The place is lovely with plenty of seating areas outside for relaxing. The hosts were so kind and invited us for tea when we came in. They upgraded our room and were just generally so kind and even gave us fruit from their garden. It was like going to your auntie's house 💕 The breakfast was wonderful. The room itself was comfortable, the beds were nice, ac worked well, and the hot water from the shower was nice. You can drink the water as it's from their well. Overall amazing place to stay- we would definitely chose to stay again. The hosts were also super helpful to help us find a taxi to go to the border. The kids love the place and especially the swing and chickens. We were on a bus from Baku and the hosts message us what to show to bus driver to drop us off right by their place which was very convenient and saved us time! 😊 Thanks again for your hospitality and kindness 💕

Macara Sheki Hotel is a very clean hotel with very friendly staff. Our room was comfortable with a nice view of the property. Rooms are as pictured. Bed is a bit firm but still comfortable, with nice linens and pillows. We slept well. The air conditioning worked very well and the wifi was fantastic. The rooms around us appeared to be booked and a large tour group checked in above us but we did not experience any loud noises. The bathroom is very nice. Nice tiling, nice lighting, fresh towels and most important the water pressure and hot water in the shower were great. Breakfast was definitely sufficient. Omelettes can be made to order. Food always seemed to be replenished. We enjoyed a lunch, a dinner and some drinks on the property outdoors. The restaurant staff are very attentive, professional, courteous and always smiling. Our food was delicious and affordably priced. The indoor dining space is nice. The outdoor dining area is a really nice space. It is nice even just to sit and listen to the birds in the morning. The staff at the front desk are friendly and courteous. Any questions or requests were not a problem for example, help with bus information or calling a taxi. It will take about 10min to walk to the centre of the new town and about a 30min walk to the attractions in the old town.

 Be sure to walk around the town some, off the regular tourist path, to see more of the local life. You just might find you are greeted by locals or find a little hidden bakery.

I liked very much the house, it is located in the historic center of Sheki, the room was very nice, decorated in traditional style, it was very clean, spacious. The owners were very nice, they gave me a plate with fresh fruits and water. The location is easy accessible by car with parking in front of the house. Restaurants, shops and tourist attractions are nearby. I recommend it for a local experience.
