We came in the month of April (mid of April). 1) Scenic setting with snow capped mountain in the back and lush green area at the front 2) Amenities and facilities are endless, I gave up trying to count all of them 😅 3) Plenty of staff to take care of the guests and the numbers seem to be proportionate to the guest capacity 4) The restaurant serving local food was worth the money (we really enjoyed the food, music and wine) 5) Guest relation dept. was top notch as I was constantly contacted by Ms. Narmin and kept checking if everything was alright (it was a rarity in my personal experience so far) 6) Nice pool and associated amenities 7) Room space was ample, bathroom was as big as the room we stayed in Baku 😂 8) Neat and tidy rooms, with housekeeping staff available for help any minute 9) The room rate I paid (~250 Manat per night) was totally worth it. Overall, in my experience this is so far the best 5 star property I have ever stayed in. The property in itself is as big as a town centre (I would say (with a bit of exaggeration) we can call it a district. Not kidding, it has a bus service inside the property to take you around within the property. For the money I paid, this is undoubtedly the best value for money experience and given I get similar rates I would definitely recommend this to be the first choice if you are coming to Sheki. Piece of advice: Keep one full day to explore this property (I am realizing now, after going there, I should have cut one day from Baku and stayed here)

Very nice hotel. Staff are all very welcoming and accommodating. Facilities were very nice especially liked the saunas and Turkish hamam. Location is fairly central, so it's walkable from the main sights and easy to find. I really liked the stay and this is a great value for money. Breakfast variety was good and restaurant food in the evening was of excellent quality. Would recommend if you want to stay in the city.

Exceptional: A 5-Star Hotel Experience Without the Pretence Shabnam, the gorgeous and wonderful host, made me feel like royalty. Not only did she offer me tea upon arrival, along with her delicious homemade marmalade—an Azari custom—but she was always available to accommodate all my questions and help me navigate the town. The room, which is actually a flat larger than a typical London apartment, features a well-equipped kitchen and a spotless, modern bathroom. There's also a beautiful balcony overlooking their lush garden. Fantastic location, too!

I had a wonderful stay at Ali's House! The hospitality was 1000/10, and the house is so beautiful. Ali and his parents do a fantastic job at making their guests feel welcomed. Ali's father even drove me to and from the bus station, which I was not expecting. I highly recommend Ali's House! It was a highlight of my time in Sheki!

Hosts are really nice and helpful. You can have breakfast and dinner according to your wishes (e.g. vegetarian) for small price. Always access to kitchen for hot tea and water. Room is big, warm and clean. Only 5 minutes walk to nearest grocery store. City center can be reached with 10 minutes bus (0.5 Manat) or taxi (2 Manat) ride. If you need registration with ASAN (foreigners staying for more than 15 days in AZ): No problem, hosts take care of it.

Macara Sheki Hotel is a very clean hotel with very friendly staff. Our room was comfortable with a nice view of the property. Rooms are as pictured. Bed is a bit firm but still comfortable, with nice linens and pillows. We slept well. The air conditioning worked very well and the wifi was fantastic. The rooms around us appeared to be booked and a large tour group checked in above us but we did not experience any loud noises. The bathroom is very nice. Nice tiling, nice lighting, fresh towels and most important the water pressure and hot water in the shower were great. Breakfast was definitely sufficient. Omelettes can be made to order. Food always seemed to be replenished. We enjoyed a lunch, a dinner and some drinks on the property outdoors. The restaurant staff are very attentive, professional, courteous and always smiling. Our food was delicious and affordably priced. The indoor dining space is nice. The outdoor dining area is a really nice space. It is nice even just to sit and listen to the birds in the morning. The staff at the front desk are friendly and courteous. Any questions or requests were not a problem for example, help with bus information or calling a taxi. It will take about 10min to walk to the centre of the new town and about a 30min walk to the attractions in the old town.   Be sure to walk around the town some, off the regular tourist path, to see more of the local life. You just might find you are greeted by locals or find a little hidden bakery.
