The hostess was very friendly and helpful. This is the first chateau that I have stayed in and it did not disappoint. It is a genuine old castle with lots of original features. An excellent meal was provided in the evening on the terrace and the breakfast in the morning was also good. I was cycling and I had no concerns about the safety of my bicycle within the castle walls. Airvault is a lovely town and just a few minutes walk away.
