Where do I start. The property is immaculate and has absolutely everything you need from a log burner to a potato peeler! We came as a family of 5 (46,44,17,16 and 12) to spend a long weekend relaxing and taking in the sights. We normally book staycations instead of hotels as we like the home from home feel. Kathleen’s Cottage is our favourite to date. With 3 double bedrooms, a shower room with power shower and various heads including rainfall, a beautiful sitting room with 3 sofas and a log burner, a fully, and I mean FULLY equipped kitchen diner, parking space and a tranquil back garden- we found the stay more than we had hoped for. The cottage is decorated beautifully and is exceptionally clean. Everything we needed was there and more. And we all enjoyed the tranquility with the ease of village amenities a walk away. Day 1- we ate at The Moat House which was top notch. Good and service was amazing and a beautiful little walk away from the cottage. Day 2 we visited All Things Wild and had drinks on the little river. Our final night was in the cottage having a barbecue. Honestly, if you want somewhere picturesque with all the mod cons- this is the place to stay. The lovely host came to say hi which we thought was just delightful. We will be back. It’s worth the 3 hour drive! Thank you Kathleens Cottage. Until next time.

We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The place itself was absolutely amazing — so much space and finished to a really high standard. Everything felt modern, comfortable, and well thought out, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our time there. A special mention to Joel from management, who truly went above and beyond. He was incredibly helpful and made sure we were okay throughout our stay, which really made a difference and showed genuine care.
