Boasting a restaurant, OYO Adnans Hotel is situated in Birmingham in the West Midlands region, 12 km from Bullring Shopping Centre and 12 km from Birmingham Back to Backs. I liked the friendliness of the staff as a disabled person the room was a bit difficult to get up to...
Marston Green Hotel is 3* hotel that met my expectations. I stayed only one night, as next day I had to attend event and after that travelling back to home. The location of the hotel is nearby Birmingham International Station and it was within 5-10 mins by taxi. Overall I'm satisfied and happy with my accommodation for one night. Only I'm not sure if someone would like to book room for longer duration of stay. I find the place reasonable and excellent for short stay, but not any more. Also, I observed that the cleanness of the room wasn't the best expected. I noticed in the shower floor some dirt and dark spots same as the fossettes. They could be cleaned much better. Their free WiFi frankly speaking was better than in London, which pleasantly surprised me and I was able overnight to complete my task for next day event, which was appreciated. Unfortunately I'm not able to provide photos from inside as I deleted the two of them from the shower. I don't have any other photos from the surroundings as I went only for take away food in the evening to buy my dinner from the nearby restaurant and the weather this evening wasn't the best (light drizzle and damp/humidity from the season).
Everything about the Genting Hotel was Superb. Staff very helpful and friendly especially Matt & Vicky in the Restaurant, nothing was too much trouble for them. The Swimming Pool was fabulous and, again, Ellie and Victoria were extremely helpful. Being opposite to the Resorts Arena was the reason we stayed there but we would definitely stay there again.
It was very convenient for shops and dining etc However it lacked adequate staffing and a standard of service you would expect from this type of hotel. Quite noisy and reception and bar area very crowded due to large weekend parties
The charming village was a great place to stay for the course I was on. The digs were within a few hundred yards of the station to Birmingham, which was only 3 stops away and has a free car park. I would not have known, however, when I booked, that it was so readily accessible by train from the centre Birmingham. I think they should advertise that feature. I was busy on a course, and it was bitterly cold out, so I did not visit any tourist sites as I had no free time until the morning I left, when I took a quick and easy trip to the town centre by train to see the famous Museum of Art.......which was closed for a refurb! (Jan 2022) A good excuse to visit again!
This hotel is in a great location for the airport and some venues. The hotel staff were good but in short supply for the restaurant and bar. The room was very clean and comfortable but the bed wasn't, too hard for our taste. I found the continuing hum of the fix on vent in the bathroom irritating, like a ships engine. The bonus was the staff that were there were good and we had a good dinner.
Solihull Town centre was poor many shops closed and others not up to scratch. Starting to look dated, nothing to make me want to go back. Went to becketts for Sunday lunch it used to have an amazing Sunday carvery, understand with covid they can't have the carvery but the Sunday lunch served to the table was average. The veg was very good, the Yorkshire pudding was cold and chewy, only 2 very small thin slices of meat the gravy was cold and lumpy. Just not what it used to be such ashame.
