It was comfortable and grand looking. Comfy beds and lovely rooms. Not all rooms had a sofa even when it was large enough for one, so had to sit on the bed. Our evening meal in the restaurant was fabulous! Great cook! Table Staff were great too! Thank you! Beautiful well tended gardens.Plenty of car parking… though ended up in golf parking area as we had misread the signage. Worked out well as our rooms were nearer that car park anyway…however had a long walk round with our cases in search of reception. Friendly and efficient reception staff and great staff in the downstairs bar areas. Knowledgeable about the house and obviously love it. Very good breakfast that we looked forward to each morning. Plenty of choice and lots of fresh fruit etc. Ask for your eggs to be cooked to your liking as if you are late rising the scrambled eggs may no longer be soft and creamy! Beautiful hotel and we felt well looked after, thank you.

Stayed in the single room, comfy bed, clean, had everything I needed. I think the lady’s name that checked me in was Sarah, she could not have been more helpful & approachable. I’ll absolutely stay here again when I’m working nearby. There is a car park as well, which is really useful, as parking seems to be difficult in Ware!

The location was just great; in the centre of the town with some privacy too. It's great to have proper parking. The house is really beautifully decorated and clean and the bathroom is great. The kitchen and eating area are really well equipped.

Nice and close to Stevenage and Ware but still a quiet out of the way place. Compare off street parking in a country village to parking in a hotel car park in town

I booked a single room and it was very spacious with a large bed, which compared to other places that I have stayed was really appreciated as often single guests are shoehorned into a small space. Breakfast was very good, offering a good selection of continental and cooked options. Ample parking Would definitely recommend

My office is based in Welwyn Garden City and often stay in one of the main chains there. The prices were high on this occasion so looked elsewhere, i am so pleased. My decision was based on location ( less than 10 mins from the center of Welwyn Garden City ) and price. The White Horse was easy to find with free parking, i was greeted with a friendly and smiling welcome by the bar team who also check me in quickly and efficiently, explaining clearly all the info i might need, room location, meals, breakfast etc. I decided to eat straight away, food was table or bar service, i chose bar as it was quiet. Menu had a great choice for all tastes and was fairly priced. Food came quickly, was piping, hot plentiful and very tasty. I have a food background and would recommend I was in room 3, room and bathroom were very roomy, with lovely, and from what i could see perfect decor. Everything seemed very clean, tools were supper soft, bed very comfortable. It was warm and i had proper opening windows which i used and there was little or no noise from outside and i was facing the street. Shower was super hot and nice and power full. I left before 09:00 so can not comment on breakfast The site is not 24hr so there is no reception. I was unsure what to do with my key but there is a contact number which was answered in a few seconds a bubble Diane answered to give me guidance. All in all a great stay i will return 100%
