The property had everything we needed and was so pretty and spacious inside. Mary had left a fridge with food for us for the week including figs from her own tree and food for sandwiches! The views from the balcony were amazing and the neighbourhood felt very safe and welcoming. We met Mary and some of her family during our stay and they were some of the nicest people we met during our trip! Communication was great as we had some delays with our rental car but Mary ensured someone would be able to help us check in, find a car park, etc making everything so much smoother. Mary also gave us food recommendations and even let us stay past check out on the last day as no one was staying after us - this made our day a lot less stressful and gave us more time to enjoy the property. This was one of the highlights of our trip and we would definitely stay here again!

Ho soggiornato in questa villa con i miei per una settimana ed è stato tutto perfetto. Un ringraziamento speciale a Manos e la sua famiglia per la gentilezza e la cordialità, ci hanno aiutato in tutto, anche quando siamo stati poco bene con l’influenza. La villa è dotata di ogni confort, tutte le camere perfette con aria condizionata, asciugamani, phon per capelli… Ci hanno anche dato asciugamani e ombrelloni per il mare. Consiglio al 100%. Quando tornerò in Grecia, tornerò sicuramente.

Casa de la Alegría is one of those places that makes you feel at home. The house was gorgeous and George and his wife were amazing hosts throughout the stay. They answered every question we had through texting and they were polite and all around great hosts. I would recommend this Villa to everyone that seeks a holiday in the paradise that is Corfu. There is a supermarket right next to the house and a butcher shop also which were big pros. If you wanted to go for a meal, there were many places not more than a 15 minute walk to the village Doukades. the food there was awesome too The house, is exactly what you see in the photos, newly furnished, very gorgeous and all around it was so comfortable because we had all of the appliances that we could wish for to make us feel at home. The WiFi speed was great also and the most amazing thing were the air conditioning units available in every room that made our holiday a comfortable "breeze". There is also a bus station close to the Villa that can take you to almost any beach and destination in Corfu. All around. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house and we thank George for the warm welcome that he has given us and we felt a little bit sad when we checked out because our holiday couldn't have been better anywhere else! This house is everything we had wished for.

The villa was perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday. We loved the garden and outside seating areas and the pool was a huge plus for us. Christos was brilliant at helping us with any questions and made some great recommendations. He brought us fresh fish to cook on the BBQ one day. We fell in love with Doukades and the tavernas and bar / shop. It was a very special and memorable holiday.

We absolutely loved ALL of the accomodation in Doukades - walking up to the village for the first time was magic and key collection was super easy. Location was perfect in the square and the space exceeded all expectations with the size and facilities. We had the best time and would highly recommend staying here!

It is a great, cozy house in a nice village. The building is very nicely renovated and has everything you might need. Check-in and check- out were very easy. There are a lot of nice restaurants in the village and the seaside is close by car. Highly recommended, we would be happy to come back.
