This is a really lovely place to explore Bukittinggi from. The house itself has an unusual layout, but it’s charming, well-maintained, and the rooms are clean and well-equipped. The owner and his team are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We received excellent tips and route suggestions, which we then followed using the scooters rented from the guesthouse. The owner has lived in Europe for a while and speaks very good English. We also got great recommendations for restaurants. The location of the hotel is excellent — quite central yet quiet, about 100 meters from the main road. We felt very comfortable and at home here!

The bed mattresses are like fluffy marshmallows. The place is secluded but if you need to get anything to eat, the hotel cafe is there for you. The staff are superb, friendly and professional. The place is quiet at night and very relaxing. There are hardly any bugs. I sleep better here than at home!

This place was pure paradise. The landscape and views were magnificent, over looking the entire valley. The hand built traditional style cabins and tropical gardens are truly special. The owner Rakai was so welcoming and friendly, and even helped us to explore Bukkittingi and Harau Valley. The girls that worked in the restaurant (Mathalia & Hatika) made delicious food (including banana pancakes for breakfast) and always greeted us with a smile. The beds were extremely comfortable and rooms were large. The location is surrounded by rice fields and valleys, and each direction offers a unique adventure to go. Getting lost around the stunning Sianok valley was the best part of the stay! We will definitely be back. A truly unique, relaxing and adventurous stay.
