Staff are friendly and efficient. Room is big. Bed is comfortable and hot shower is great. Cable TV has a number of English programs. Wifi connection is good. Simple breakfast provided is sufficient for one to start the day. Homestay is located on a hill some 5 minutes walk from the only main road. Many eateries along the main road. Similarly for mini-marts and ATMs. The night food stalls along the main road are nice experiences.

There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. Comfy beds, sweet, friendly hosts/workers who were very accommodating, the huts are very cool looking (hammocks). It’s amazing they’re really in the jungle but still nearby where you wanna be. A good price for what you get. Washrooms are nice and clean. Everyone hangs out in the main shared area (restaurant area) and plays guitar and plays cards in the evening (but not too late, quiet hours are respected). During the rainy season, you can swim in the pools of the waterfall that is literally one second away from the lodge.

The accommodation provides evening entertainment and room service. Our stay at Rambai Tree lodges was magical. Tia was incredibly helpful and the people in general who work for Rambai and within Bukit Lawang are so so lovely. She helped sort us out with a guide to go and see the Oragutans and we managed to see 8 of them in one day. The guides are knowledgeable, interesting and passionate giving a wonderful overall experience. The food was exceptional and Tia is a phenomenal cook, always providing us with delicious fresh fruit afterwards. The location was exceptional, right on the edge of the National Park and with the roaring sound of the river outside, it was big, clean and comfortable. When we arrived we were greeted by Thomas Leaf monkeys on our porch, it was truly magical and I would recommend this place in a heart beat.

It is within walking distance to a nearby village where you can enjoy a bit of local life. The cuisine at the resort is just great, and the staff is able to reflect one´s dietary needs and requirements + they serve the best coffee on Sumatra and fresh coconuts everyday. The bungalows have big beds with the best mattress ever and hot water. The owners as well as the staff were extremely helpfull with everything and very flexibly and kindly reacted to the change in our schedule caused by flight delay. They arranged for us the transport on the island as well as in Banda Aceh - Irrfan, the driver in Banda Aceh not only got us everywhere we needed when the schedule was tight, but also proved to be a great local guide who showed us all places of cultural and culinary interest in banda Aceh.

She even woke up at 4 am to drive us to the airport. Would recommend anyone to stay here.

The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi. The family room was spacious and aircon runs cold. Although there isn't hot water for shower, the staff brought us buckets of hot water each day, and that was adequate to bathe my child. They also arranged the jungle trek for us, we were able to trek directly from the guest house. It's also located very close to the bat cave, 10-mins walk and we highly recommend visiting these caves, and with a local guide hired at the entrance. Without the guide we wouldn't have known where to go.

The villa provides a restaurant serving American cuisine, as well as free WiFi throughout the property. We had a fantastic time with Sumatra Orangutan Trek. Everything was well organized from start to finish. The jungle trek was unforgettable. We saw several orangutans, gibbons, and other monkeys. The guides were knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the environment, always respectful of the wildlife. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel at home right away. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. A perfect way to experience the jungle in a responsible and memorable way.
