There is so much to like about M2 Homestay....Jun,the owner,speaks very good English and is very helpful.Within minutes of my arrival he had organised a car and driver to take me to Parapat,the next place I wanted to visit....The room was super clean and sleep quality was excellent.The bathroom had plenty of hot water and the shower was excellent...The staff were super friendly-even Jun's son Mikail who is only twelve and yet has perfect English....The location was ideal-a short walk to an excellent restaurant and close to the centre of Berastagi...I am happy to give this place top marks...10 out of 10...Worth returning to.

Located in Bukit Lawang, Rambai Tree Jungle Lodges - Family Friendly features a garden, terrace, massage services, and free WiFi throughout the property. The accommodation provides evening entertainment and room service. This is the most amazing place to stay. I've been to the jungle in India, Borneo and the Phillipines but Rambai Tree Eco Jungle Huts not only provided the most comfortable accommodation but they made us feel like family ❤️🙏. Romi and Tia communicated efficiently and clearly from the moment I booked, several months ago. They provided a very reasonably priced, friendly and knowledgeable return airport shuttle - Wayhu, and the best guides - Ronie and Nanda. We saw Orangutans, Gibbons, Thomas Leaf Monkeys, and a monitor lizard in just a half day trek! As well as being visited daily by the local Macaque troop and several large bats. Tia cooked us the most fantastic farewell dinner and we were genuinely sad to leave. Nothing was too much trouble for them ❤️

All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, and certain units at the resort have a balcony. We had a lovely stay at Sunset Beach Resort. As non-divers, we were looking for a relaxed but comfortable place to stay on the island. Though a little bit away from some other, apparently 'happening' places of the island, we thought it was still the best place to stay. We loved the overall aesthetics of the resort - quite unique and fresh compared to other places on the island - and how easy it was to get everything we needed: from transport to tips about activities, not just locally, but also on the mainland. We loved the variety of food and drink options offered on site - prepared with much love and attention as well as other local restaurant recommendations we were given. The patchy WiFi did not bother us as we wanted to disconnect and relax. The owners are very attentive and inspiring people who clearly put a lot of effort into making their guests' stay as hassle-free as possible. We loved just being able to slow down and hang out, read our books , watch the ocean and play with the resident puppy. A fab stay for couples, friends but even for solo travellers who are looking to unwind. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to be back!

Offering inner courtyard views, Mila Homestay is an accommodation set in Padang, 10 km from Siti Nurbaya Bridge and 47 km from Mount Talang. Dila, the host, was exceptional and so kind hearted that it taught me so much during my short 3 days there. It is a nice quiet location, and you can tell that Dila has put her all into making sure the guests have an amazing time. She is always there to answer questions and do everything she can to make you comfortable. She cooks a delicious breakfast with her sister, and likes to take her guests around Padang and show them beautiful things like the clear blue river deep in the village. Stuff you would never find on your own. She even noticed I liked crystals and rocks and showed me a crystal shop I would not have been aware of. I will always cherish my stay here.

Beautiful location right on the river, surrounded by nature and beautiful views, a retreat from the busy-ness of town. It is only a short motorbike ride into town, and you can walk ~10 mins to get to an alfamart/indomaret. I did 2 days jungle trekking with Andi who was a great guide. We saw lots of orangutans and other wildlife, and he shared a lot of great information about the jungle. I went with a group and he was very attentive with the guests and everyone's different needs and comfort levels with the hiking. Dika, Dedek, and the rest of the family were so friendly and happy to answer any questions or help with anything, and make an amazing breakfast which is included. Andi arranged a car to and from the airport. Wifi was functional most of the time, which was helpful because I spent a lot of time working remotely in the restaurant. Bed in my room was very firm and comfortable, which is important to note because some different guesthouses where I've stayed have had very squishy, sinking beds. Bathroom has good showerhead water pressure, a western style toilet, and bidet. They provide toilet paper if needed. Towels also provided. Screens on windows prevent mosquitos from getting inside, and there is a fan inside the room for when it gets hot. Overall, a beautiful place to stay and a family business that makes you feel like family. Highly recommend!

Located in Timbanglawang, Orangutan Villa & Eco-Friendly Jungle Trekking features accommodation with seating area. This villa offers free private parking and full-day security. The villa provides a restaurant serving American cuisine, as well as free WiFi throughout the property. We spent 3 nights in the Villa. We were extremely well received by the manager "Dady Cool" and his team. Everyone is kind, friendly and caring!!! They are available at any time of day to help you with anything! We also went for a jungle trekking that was just amazing ! I totally recommend booking activities with them ! For the villa, you'll find everything you need in your room (and if something missing, they will do their best to help) On top of that, the breakfast and the whole dining menu are really delicious. Don't hesitate to eat there, you won't regret it Thanks again to all the team for the amazing moments we spent there !
