There is a lot to like about the TOI Apartment in Brindisi. It is very modern and gives the appearance of being recently fully renovated, so everything looks new, clean and modern. It has three rooms, all relatively spacious, with a combined bathroom and laundry, large bedroom and an integral kitchen, lounge and dining area. It also has a large external patio, although this is not very functional during the day as it is fully exposed to the sun, with no sunshade for the small external table and two chairs. The patio has potential but the owner needs to provide better facilities for its day time use (it is fine as an evening dining area.) The combined bathroom and laundry work well. Whilst there is no dryer, the large clothes airer and hot patio provide an excellent drying combination. The bedroom is very large with lots of wardrobe space. The bedroom is large with a slightly hard mattress, but after a long journey you will probably sleep like a log. The kitchen has a full range of utilities, including a large fridge and separate freezer. There is no microwave but the gas stove and oven are very efficient. No dishwasher so prepare to get your hands wet! Small internal dining table with 4 chairs and a reasonably comfortable lounge, TV will a full range of streaming services but you will need your own subscriptions. Tasteful, modern furniture which is pleasing on the eye. Air conditioned and centrally heated for the winter visitor. Any deficiencies, you may ask? There is an obvious contradiction between the quality of the renovation and the range and quality of the provided utensils. A toaster and kettle are not provided so you have to risk scalding yourself by pouring boiling water from a metal handled pan. A coffee-pod coffee maker is provided but this is an inadequate water heater for the hot tea drinker. Sharp cutting knives are not provided, nor a tin opener and the cutlery is of campsite quality.
