Great location in the small town of Bubbio, a short walk to the town center. Hosts are very friendly and willing to go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful stay. Hotel was also impeccably clean. Dog friendly; our little buddy had a great time too!

Rifugio Grassi is a lovely house nestled in a rural location surrounded by fields and trees. A very tranquil setting. The house is very cosy with a spacious open plan kitchen living room. The owner Laura made us feel very welcome and even provided us with homemade jam tarts and also stocked the fridge with essentials which was great as we arrived late and hadn't purchased any milk so was very happy to start our stay with a nice cup of tea. A side table in the kitchen was laid out with a selection of tea's along with biscuits and a caddy full of coffee along with a coffee percolator.

Everybody was super nice in the hotel. The area is a very nice residential neighbourhood and it takes only 5 minutes to walk to the beach. There is safe parking in the courtyard of the hotel. Very good breakfast and the hotel expressed a total dog friendliness

It is amazing hotel, located in old (but perfectly renovated) monastery building on the top of Canelli with outstanding view from the room and garden. Host and owner of the hotel is very helpful, you feel yourself like you are not the client, but a guest of family. Perfect breakfast is definitely worth mentioning! If you travel by car park it in front of Chiesa di San Leonardo, do not try to follow the route, proposed by Google maps. Additionally be ready for good cardio training getting back to hotel from Canelli historical center by foot :)

Lovely host, very good communication. Extremely friendly and hospitable. We got a wine tasting in the evening, which was accompanied by lovely conversation with the host and with roasted hazelnuts. They have very good wine and very affordable. Delicious hazelnuts and hazelnut cream, typical from the area. They have a modern proper italian automatic coffee machine that makes great espresso and cappuccinos and a fresh water dispenser. The location is absolutely breathtaking with a beautiful stylish old wine estate with a lot of character. The parking is safe, on site, with a front well lit gate/barrier located at the bottom of the hill, for which we were given a key card. The breakfast was also outstanding with a very good yogurt with homemade jams, cakes, sweets, cookies and their lovely hazelnut cream. We would definitely recommend this Tenuta, 10/10. We would definitely comeback.

Fabulous 3rd generation family run hotel, recently renovated to a high standard. The owners are justifiably proud of their hotel and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The restaurant food was outstanding, wine recommendations on point and the rooms very large. A true diamond in rough in the middle of a small town 10km from Acqui Terme.
