Bioagriturismo La Porta dei Parchi
Very unique setting between the town of Anversa degli Abruzzi and the mountains. You can freely explore the farmstead and pet dogs, cats, sheeps and goats to your liking. The rooms are very spacious, quiet, clean and have ample hot water. In the restaurant they serve their own homemade cheeses and meat dishes, which were all amazing and worthy of Michelin stars. Portion sizes were more than enough and the dessert selection is also plentiful. It is a family run farm that employs lots of local people. Definitely worth visiting if you are in the area.

The hosts, Roberto and Guiseppe, are wonderful. They are welcoming, kind and very knowledgeable about the Sulmona area as well as operating their hotel in a completely professional manner - they always put their guests first. The location is right in the historic centre of Sulmona, so close to all of the towns interesting sites, to plenty of cafe and restaurant options, and to the marvellous social activity of promenading. Our room was very well appointed with plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and served by Roberto and Guiseppe. Roberto made the time to take us out on an expedition which we could not possibly have achieved without his help.

Everything was wonderful! The garden is beautiful, and we really enjoyed grilling fresh fish in the outdoor area. The host was extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful. It was a lovely and relaxing place to stay, and we felt very comfortable.

Very cozy and spacious, we felt at home right away. Very clean apartment and located in a nice and quiet place but the city is easily reachable by car for grocery shopping etc. Bonus: There was a friendly cat visiting the garden every day :)

We arrived as two adults and three children, but the house could easily accommodate seven people, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious living room-kitchen. The neighborhood is quiet and ideally located for exploring Abruzzo. Everything is very nice, modern and spotlessly clean. We had some problems with our car, and the owner helped us a lot to solve them, for which we cannot be grateful enough. It was a very good experience to stay in this house, we highly recommend it.
