10/10 for the following reasons I have woken up in the hilltop and certainly off- the beaten trek village of Santa Caterina dello Ionio, overlooking the Ionian Sea, in the Calabrian province of Catanzaro. As I am writing this lines I can hear the goats and sheep bells ringing and birds twittering. The sun is shining and there is a healthy and fresh breeze coming in from the opened French doors… I felt at home with the treatment by the hostess, Anna, a medical student aiming to become a surgeo. She proudly told me that this three stories house with three double and ample rooms, with a big patio at the back a garden on one side and s long balcony in front belongs to her grand-parents and during the refurbishment they have tried to to stick to the original as they could It is a shame I will stay only one night here but I am adamant that a bit of a long lie in is well in the pipeline

The atmosphere and nature were impressive. It was a place were we felt immediately at home Salvatore and his mom Lucia were so helpful and this appartement was really wonderful for the price ee payed. Details like so many bath towels, kitchen tools etc And the amazing clean swimming pool in the garden.

Perla del borgo located in the small, beautiful town of Santa Caterina dello Ionio. A very nice owner who met us in the parking lot, which doesn't happen often. Room with a beautiful view, air conditioning, well-kept, clean and fragrant. Contact with the owner in English, which is not so obvious in Italy. We will definitely go back there with our daughter. I recommend it if you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city in silence. If you want to see how Italians live in small towns, this place is perfect.

Great location, really @ min to the beach, and the beach was very quiet, because it is not the main beach of Guardavalle, it is further from it and not so many people were there. Accommodation was great, hosts are couple and were very friendly with all info I needed. the property has a terrace, where was a washbasin for legs(of you come from the beach your legs are dirtying the sand.) Beds are also comfortable for me. There are busses from Lamezia airport, act for those, who doesnt have a car great possibility to get there.
