Heritage Garden is a really nice spot just a few minutes from Ahangama Beach. Perfect if you want to get away from the hustle for a bit. It’s surrounded by greenery, so the whole place feels super calm and relaxing. The pool was great for cooling off in the heat, and the bed was comfy with hot water working perfectly too. Would definitely recommend it, and I’d 100% stay here again when I’m back down south. Big shoutout to Rusiru as well for being an awesome host and making sure everything was sorted.

This place was truly the highlight of our entire trip and that was all because of the hosts. From the moment we arrived, they treated us like family. Their kindness, warmth, and genuine care made us feel completely at home. They went above and beyond in every possible way. Whenever we were hungry, they prepared food for us, always with a smile. Nothing was ever too much to ask, whether it was salt and pepper while cooking or yogurt we needed, everything was arranged immediately and with such generosity. The villa itself is wonderful: two separate, comfortable rooms and a fully equipped kitchen where you can easily prepare your own meals. Everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully set up. This stay left a lasting impression on us. We didn’t just stay somewhere; we felt welcomed, cared for, and truly appreciated. We will without a doubt come back here again. Highly, highly recommended!

The villa has balconies overlooking a beautiful lake. It is a short drive from the busy towns of Ahangama and Weligama so a welcome place to retreat to. It was beautifully peaceful. The beds were comfy, it was very clean and had some lovely touches like tasteful garden lighting. The hosts were really helpful and kind - organising scooters for us and showing us the best bakeries and shopping spots. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. I already miss the view!

Beautiful hotel, probably the most beautiful and impressive we have ever been! Beautiful and very clean rooms, we also loved the swimming pools. The food was also delicious and we also enjoyed the activities, particularly the morning bike ride with a very lovely guide! We also enjoyed their beach club, it is very convenient with the tuk tuk that brings you there, there is a shower and we felt very safe as we could leave there our stuff while we went for a walk. We would definitely go back and longer if we go back to Sri Lanla

We had an amazing stay at Eco Brics Ahangama! The villa is cozy, beautifully maintained, and clean. The owners were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was not only delicious but also more than enough to start our day off right. I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel set right in the middle of lush paddy fields, and it was an unforgettable experience. Waking up to the gentle sounds of nature and the sight of vibrant green fields stretching in every direction felt incredibly calming. We even had peacocks wandering nearby every day — such a magical touch you rarely get anywhere else. The views were stunning from morning to sunset from the balcony, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every meal tasted fresh and full of authentic Sri Lankan flavour. The host was amazing too — warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed, making the stay feel more like visiting a friend’s home than a hotel. Sukomala is a hidden gem situated in a Sri Lankan village. We experienced amazing flora and fauna at the beautiful tropical garden! When you arrive at this villa it feels like you do not want to leave. The staff was great helped us out in every possible way! And the Sri Lankan breakfast was so scrumptious and filling plus we got a lovely plate of tropical fruits in the morning. Architecture of the villa is carefully planned that gives such a pleasant local feel, very tastefully designed interiors with cozy beds. The pool side was so nice in the night. We will definitely recommend Sukomala villa to anyone who would want to experience true Sri Lankan hospitality!

I had an excellent stay at Maneesha Guest House in Weligama. The family Banndara and their son Randika who run this place are super friendly and made me feel right at home.The room was very clean and comfortable and dinners cooked by the family were delicious. If you are looking for a peaceful place, in the middle of nature, this guest house is a great choise. Highly recommend.

Lovely unique little hill top jungle retreat

We adore Palm Hotel! It’s so unique and wonderful, the grounds and pool area are beautiful. The food is absolutely amazing - the crab curry and breakfast were our personal highlights - wow! Great location and super easy to get to the beach etc

We spent 6 nights at Ebony Boutique Villa and it was a very pleasant experience. The property is beautiful, featuring great architecture and tasteful decor that makes it very comfortable. It’s located in a very calm area surrounded by nature, yet it’s only a 10-minute trip to the local beaches, perfect if you want to escape the coastal bustle at the end of the day. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was consistently good. A special mention to Mahesh, who was incredibly helpful and attended to all our requests with a smile. The pool is also a highlight; it’s very relaxing to swim while watching squirrels play in the trees. It is a great choice for those seeking comfort and tranquility near the coast.

This place is incredible. Hidden in the jungle with amazing views and the sounds of nature all around. Stylish rooms amazing bathroom. Breakfasts, dinners and cocktails are fantastic. The whole Sola team is just wonderful. Pure relaxation

The beautiful and spacious interior. Designed with so much care, eye for detail and comfort. The sunrise view over the rice paddies, both from my room as from the breakfast area, is just phenomenal.
