The host Haran is a true people person. He knows how to treat guests like family. Starting from breakfast, we were given generous portions of authentic Jaffna cuisine which were truly delicious. The rooms were big, spacious and most importantly clean. AC, hot water was working very well. The location was a mere walking distance from Nallur kovil and could be considered an ideal location to base your Jaffna trip. All in all every one in our group enjoyed the stay and we would gladly recommend this location to anyone traveling to Jaffna.

Allen’s Homestay is amazing for many reasons! First it is clean and spacious with a comfortable AC room to rest in. I loved the decor of the room and the house. Second, the location is very convenient for the main temple but also for peace and quiet at night. Third, Allen himself is a great host - from intricate breakfasts to a garden full of fresh fruit that he let me eat from, to dropping me off and helping me haggle for a new suitcase at the market that I needed to buy! Allen is an amazing person and nothing is too much trouble for him. In fact, I liked my stay so much here I stayed another night that I had not initially booked. Also it was a safe and Great place to stay as a young female solo traveller.

The pictures are an exact reflection of the property! It was safe, clean, comfortable and much more. We toured all around SL and this was one of our favs. It was home away from home. The staff were AMAZING, and the property was FANTASTIC!! The restaurant and the food were AMAZING!!!! Best sambal and crab curry on the island.
