This eco-resort absolutely exceeded all my expectations. I came during the low season and ended up having a whole team of incredibly kind and attentive staff taking care of me, it felt like a private retreat. The level of service was outstanding, and I genuinely felt so cared for every step of the way. The natural surroundings were breathtaking. I loved watching birds flutter around the spring and the monkeys from my room. It was peaceful, grounding, and full of life, made every moment feel like an adventure wrapped in serenity.

My wife and I have stayed in over 15 hotels in Sri Lanka. This place is one of the best for us. Beautiful nature around, where you can walk along rice fields and banana plantations. We had a very nice room with a high ceiling, a balcony, huge floor-to-ceiling windows and a fantastic view of the mountains. You don’t have to get out of bed to see the sunrise over the mountains. There is a table in the room and on the veranda to work on the computer. There is hot water, although this is often a problem in Sri Lanka. We highly appreciated the delicious breakfasts and dinners. The owner Ruwan introduced us to such delights of Sri Lankan cuisine that we did not know about. Much of what we ate is grown near the hotel. And of course I would like to say that Ruwan is a wonderful host, a very kind and attentive person. He is always ready to help in any situation. In addition, he has a university education and can tell you a lot of interesting things about Sri Lanka, suggest what to see in the area. For example, thanks to his advice we saw a small temple in the rock, where it was quiet and calm. No crowds of tourists. We spent 7 days here. We will definitely come back again, but this time we will stay at least 10 days.

I had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay at Diamond Mount Villa. The mountain view was beautiful, and the natural surroundings were truly amazing. I especially enjoyed the beauty of the house on the tamarind tree, along with seeing peacocks and herons. Waking up to birds made the whole experience very calm and refreshing. The bicycle ride along the lakeside was peaceful and relaxing. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and well prepared. Overall, this is a quiet, nature-filled place perfect for relaxation. I truly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend Diamond Mount Villa.❤️

It is located in a beautiful area on the edge of the forest. There are multiple hiking routes through the jungle from the resort. It is actually quite close to dambulla and the cave temple and there are many historical temples near the location which are still very vibrant places even today after thousands of years. I had a scooter so if you enjoy riding around even pidurangala,sigiriya,ritigala are within good distance from here. The host Thusan and his family are wonderful people they will help you with anything you need. His wife is a wonderful cook so you can enjoy her delicious dishes. If you want to experience the authentic SriLanka with the wonderful people around this is a perfect place to be. Little distance away from the tourist places but you can easily reach them in a serene peaceful environment. I truly recommend to everyone who enjoys being in nature. Stuti aiya🙏🏽

I will tell anyone coming to Sri Lanka - stay with Ravi at Margosa Mountain Villa. Best stay on our trip and top 5 lifetime. Stunning setting. Perfect room. Delicious food -organic rice, fruit, fish etc. right from the property, expertly cooked by Ravi’s wife Sewwandi. Pool is sublime. Birds galore (and easy to find and ID with Ravi’s help). Booked for two days. Stayed for 4. Great spot for excursions Dambulla, Sigiriya, and beyond, but we were happy just to relax and meditate on our good fortune to be there. Ravi spent 23 years as tour guide and it shows both in his care and expertise. I know this review sounds like a plug from one of his friends but I promise that 5 days ago we’d never met. But, yes, we have definitely made a new friend. Stay as long as you can.
