I cannot put into words how much we enjoyed our stay at the Hillside Haven. The property and the gardens are so well maintained, clean and just beautiful :) The owners treated us as if we were part of their family, that’s how it felt…always willing to help, kind and welcoming. The location is stunning and quiet, there were colourful birds and flowers everywhere, no stray doggies (which sadly can be found almost everywhere in Mauritius).

We stayed in the ground floor apartment, though all the units are newly renovated, everything was brand new, comfortable. Lots of attention to small details, from having a water cooler to pool cutlery and crockery, Johanna thought about EVERYTHING! She made us feel very welcome, and was always available, even though we didn't lack anything. The pool and garden were awesome and we had a fish grill outside in the super ambience of the garden. Enough safe parking, an alarm system and small safe, it was all there! Close to local shopping areas, and loads of recommendations of where to eat or go for excursions.

The expansive terrace provided the perfect spot to soak in the breathtaking surroundings, while the pristine cleanliness of the entire property exceeded our expectations. With the added convenience of a maid service every 3-4 days, we were able to fully relax and indulge in every moment of our stay. The well-equipped kitchen, the invigorating bathrooms with excellent water pressure and the very comfortable beds further elevated our experience, leaving no detail overlooked. For those seeking a perfect blend of serenity and convenience, this villa is an absolute gem. With the beach just a few steps away, every day felt like a dreamy escape into paradise. It’s not touristic at all, because it is more remote and a very quite area, hence a rental car might be needed to get to the groceries stores or restaurants. In conclusion, we wholeheartedly recommend this villa to anyone in search of a truly magical retreat. Our time here surpassed all expectations, leaving us with cherished memories that will last. We liked everything about the property. Very pleasant owners, very quiet location, you can hear only the nature but also it is just 10min drive to the city and shopping mall. The cottage is very clean and comfortable. Perfect bed for a good sleep. We spend all our mornings and evenings in veranda because of a perfect view. Cottage not only is furnished in European style but you can also find European sockets. One of the best stays on our trip to Mauritius for a very reasonable price.

Overall the infrastructure is nice with outdoors spaces for bbq, a pool and tenis court. It also has a big kitchen if people want to cook. Nice views to the coast on one side and the mountain on the other. It has also car parking. The staff was very welcoming.
