We loved everything. The room was perfect. Separate from their personal home this 1 room tradition oval mayan adorable thatch roof home has a large walk in shower and comfortable bed. The host were kind and helpful with ideas to keep our day filled with ruins wildlife and villages to visit. Breakfast was a different dish each morning and we chose to have dinner there each night. We requested our meal to be whatever the family was having. We were surprised each night with a wonderful authentic and tasty meal. We are outdoors people and do not mind spiders bugs and maybe an Ant or 2. If you do not like bugs this is not for you. But if you enjoy the outdoors . You will love this place. There is a ceiling fan and hot water. This was a memorable and unique place to stay. It will be 1 of our favorite all time stays.

The beds were VERY comfortable. The owners are very attentive and welcoming. They make you feel at home. The grounds are like a tropical paradise. You can hear the sounds of the jungle from your room. The breakfast for a fee was exceptional, and the value was better than anything in town. The secure parking was large and easy to park in. We can't wait to come back!

The hosts, Guillaume and Elisa, exude intellectual warmth and keen observation, creating a welcoming atmosphere that feels both luxurious and homely. The delightful presence of dogs, cats, and children leaves a lasting impression.

When you see so many positive and long reviews from so many people that stayed there and took their time to write about their experience you can be sure the place must have something that others do not have... and hell yeah it did... I came to Oro Verde for just one night initially, thinking there would not be so much to do in a small town like Homún... and I could not have been more wrong. I ended up staying 3 nights and I would have stayed many more if I could. The atmosphere was really nice, the place is clean and spacious and the Internet works perfectly, even when the hostel is full, as they have Starlink. It is also the perfect place to disconnect from work, routines and busy city life and take it a bit slower in calm environment and connect with nature The host are two amazing human beings that love what they do and work very hard so everyone can enjoy their vacation at its fullest. Dulce cooks amazing homemade, fresh and healthy food, which is way better than any of the other restaurants in town and for a very reasonable price. Aleph on the other side will take you with the mototaxi to the best cenotes around Homún and not just the most touristy ones in which you will have the whole place almost by yourself, as we did on many occasions. They also provide snorkel masks and lanterns for a better experience. Additionally, they got brand new mountain bikes for the guests to use and move around freely and have many more amazing ideas to make the place even better!!
