Apartment had everything we needed (lots of towels, all shower and cleaning supplies, coffee, tea and whatever small things you might need in the kitchen), was nicely furnished and had a really nice atmosphere of Norwegian home. Host was very friendly and helpful. Great location, very close to Balestrand, but you would need to take a ferry (which is not a problem as the schedule is very good). Make sure you go for groceries on the way as nearest shop is in Balestrand or another town at 15 min drive, but for us it wasn’t a problem.

Beautiful villa/house- it was extremely charming.Made you feel what it would be like to live here for real. The decor was very authentic and cozy. Comfy beds and linens/pillows. Very spacious, had everything we needed. Kitchen well equipped to cook. They texted us the day before to let us know that the 2 days we were there was a National Holiday (Constitution Day) and both supermarkets and restaurants would be closed and that we should shop before reaching Balestrand. We prepared and made simple meals at the Villa. Great /prompt communication on property’s side. Would highly recommend taking eclectic bikes around town and the fjords. We rented them for 3 hrs and the views were just breathtaking. super special.

This is a hotel with a very young vibe ; do not expect luxury here...the environment (views of the fjords) provide that. It was really nice to experience this hotel but difficult to explain what kind of category it falls under : youth hotel + pet hotel + very open minded ('hip'). In short: a happy place. So do not expect a boutique style of hotel but very basic (in a positive way). We came in and the reception is also the bar so we could immediately sit at the front terrace with fjord views having drinks. If you need something, just ask the will try to provide it. Bonus: we opted for their standard breakfast (croissant+coffee) but when we checked in we were surprised with the message it would be a bit more : home made cakes... They also have their own 'beach'/garden with sauna. There is a beach/swimming pond 100 meters up the road.
