A lovely homestay in the heart of Cuispes. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here as well. Hot shower, comfy bed and wifi. They helped us get to the waterfalls as well. It's more remote than most towns, so you need to try and plan ahead a bit, like what time you want to eat, what time you want to go somewhere etc. 10 soles per person in a mototaxi to get from Pedro Ruiz and 10 soles per person to get to the start of the waterfalls (don't walk, it's 5km, uphill on a dirt road).

Boasting a garden, Eco Albergue Azul is set in Cuispes and also provides a shared lounge and barbecue facilities.

Lovely room, stunning views, hosts very friendly and helpful, and great breakfast, could not recommend it enough, my only complaint is we had only 1 night there!

Mario was great! He cooked a great pizza, burgers and also prepared an amazing breakfast! The lodge rooms were very clean, spacious and each had amazing views of Gocta waterfall. The trailhead to Gocta waterfall was located immediately outside the Casa de Mario door. Mario was instrumental in locating excellent drivers and an English speaking guide! La Casa de Mario enhanced our Chachapoyas experience!

Monte Gocta features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Valera. Staff on site can arrange a shuttle service.

Idyllic. This place is paradisiac. No word to describe the feeling to wake up with this wonderful view, and sound of the colibris. The room is super clean, water is hot, bed is really confortable, private terrasse is amazing. I loved the decoration, natural pure atmosphere. The staff is super kind, they offered me to shower and rest after a big hike when i came back in late afternoon while i had check out in the morning. Breakfast and dinner were amazing, fresh home made food. I really wish i could have stayed longer and did not to leave un Thank you again!

Central location in main village square. Amazing view of Gocta waterfall from bedroom window. Nice breakfast. Attentive staff. Owner drove us to 4 1/2 hours to Santa elana nature reserve for a very reasonable price and comfortable ride. Highly recommend.

Mamaq Tambo Lodge is secluded a piece paradise with breathtaking views of Gocta falls. The property is has only 3 cottages which adds to the feeling of already large lung spaces lush with greenery. The decor and appointment of the accommodation are authentic, aesthetically pleasing and with a marvellous attention to detail. The food is excellent at all 3 meals and the internet is reliable. The best feature of the property is the family who runs it. Carmen, Francesco, their son Leonardo and their support staff are incredible hosts and guides to the area. Amongst the many highlights is their Sauna perched on top of a hillock with a stunning view of the Cataracts. We will definitely be coming back to stay here and I highly recommend this fantastic property to all travellers, families or otherwise.
