We enjoy a lot of the view and location of the property. The Mongolia yurt is an unique experience for us and we love it. Everything is very clean including the yurt, the common bathroom and the common kitchen. It’s true that it’s only one bathroom for men and another one for women but we were fine with it as again this is not a hotel but a yurt experience. I enjoy the breakfast with crepe and some homemade yoghurt. Will definitely return in the future!

A great place to get to know locals. It is a step back in time to 20 or 30 years ago. surrounded by the beautiful nature of Gerês. The host were friendly and accommodating. The pool allowed fun times and privacy.

Good house in a quiet traditional Portuguese aldeia. In the kitchen there are all necessary utensils, but do not forget to buy some food before arrival as there is no supermarket in the village.

The location of Casa do Castanheiro is absolutely fantastic, the view directly from the house is stunning. You see bare, wild mountains, with artificial lake at the bottom of the view. The house is well equipped in terms of multimedia (TV, audio, internet works reasonably well considering remote location). There is plenty of kitchen equipment! Bathroom is nice, not new, but well maintained and reasonably clean. Outeiro is located within borders of a national park, it is great for hiking and general tourism around the area. The hosts are not on site, but are very helpful at arrival and during stay, getting in touch was very easy!. Prior to arriving I read the reviews of the house, they mentioned tricky arrival/parking at the location. It is indeed very tight, but so is the whole village. Be prepared for very tight manouvers and cm level spaces between car and walls/steps/stones etc.
