Loved our stay! We stayed in the budget room which was perfect for our needs (just one night). The space is modern (2022) rooms surrounding an old farmhouse. I agree with other reviewers that the continental breakfast is delicious and fantastic value (€4.50). It was too early to take advantage of the pool but it was clean and ready. The hosts really know how to deliver hospitality. The decor and the service is excellent. It’s an easy 1.4km walk to the nearest village (Santa Amaro) where there’s a Michelin “bib gourmande” restaurant, a nice bar, and a very good restaurant/cafe (Cafe Santa Amaro). It was a real treat staying here.

We came here with our two dogs. The area is very peaceful. I spent early mornings walking around and viewing the neighborhood gardens filled with grapes, vegetables and fruit orchards. The weather was too cold for me to jump in the pool but the garden area had hammocks and mediation/resting huts that were nice to use after a day of exploring. Morning breakfast delivery in a basket with fresh bread, orange juice and other goodies was a bonus. Beds were very comfortable and place was cozy.

The staff was super, The feel of this hotel is old school, in the best possible way, properly maintained with well trained and friendly helpful employees. Large rooms. Would definitely stay here again.. oh wait, we did.. ended up staying for a week! The grounds & pool are really nice, great for a decompression after business meetings. Nice to be greeted with a welcoming smile upon returning each day.
