If you are looking more for a cultural experience and living closer to the Kairouan community, Chama Maison Hotel is perhaps a better choice than a regular hotel. Chama is an extremely friendly, kind and knowledgeable host who is from the area. But her experience living in Europe also helps with most language issues. You are essentially sharing Chama's house with her, and she is quite accommodating. Chama provides breakfast, which I am sure she would adjust to fit specific tastes. The nicest thing is that you are living in a regular neighborhood amid the locals. I was sad that Chama's dog, Dana, passed away before my arrival, but I hope to return and meet Chama's new puppy one day. Be aware that Chama takes care of local cats, so you will find them crowded around her door at dinnertime. Also, take note that if you are tall, the room entrance and entry to the bathroom might give you a headache. 😉

I did like the staff here ! I had a little trouble with the AC in my room , they immediately changed it and gave me a nice sweet with a strong and cool AC . I liked the breakfast here and the fresh mlewi bread , the Gard on the gate was always opening for me the door with a big smiling! And more things made me love this place and recommend it to anyone Thanks again Tarek from TripAdvisor

I am being generous with the score, because the homestay is new and family-owned. The place was super clean and the family of the hosts were nice. Breakfast is good.
