Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice options for any pallette. The location was was excellent, with access to all major routes, close at hand, and easily accessible. Parking was very good, with a large car park. The grounds of the hotel were beautifully landscaped, and maintained to high standards of care.

We stayed here mainly as part of road trip and looked at staying in Salem, but the price was too much. Cabot Lodge was much more reasonable and for a day trip to Salem, we took a short Uber ride over the bridge. Well recommended! We had a quick look at area of Beverly – cafes, bars, restaurants, bookshops – and thought that will be good. It was more than good, it was excellent! We had rented a car, so drove from Boston airport to Beverly (I don't recommend driving anywhere near the airport, its a nightmare!) – so car parking was required. There's a parking lot right behind Cabot Lodge and its only 50cents per hour so its super cheap. We also arrived on a Saturday at 5pm, so it was free from 6pm and all day Sunday! We only paid for an hour on the Saturday, then a few hours on the Monday prior to checkout. We were aiming to arrive before the reception closed at 5pm, but had good instructions about how to self-check in after 5pm. Didn't need it as we arrived at 4.50pm... The room was compact – but so well designed and clean. Absolutely spotless and the bathroom was lovely! Shower was excellent and important for me – toiletries and a hairdryer. Ideal! Makes such a different not having to bring a hairdryer on holiday. We were on the ground floor at side, which I did wonder if we would get street noise (especially on a Saturday night) but it was so quiet and peaceful. Free tea and coffee area, but both days we went to Atomic Cafe a few doors down which is so good. We also went to Indy pub and there's a bookstore open later on in the same street. Such a nice area, we had an evening walk along towards the bridge – felt absolutely safe and happy. On our check out, we had breakfast at Atomic Cafe then had a morning stroll around to look at the buildings and murals. Its a really nice area and although the theatre/cinema was being renovated you could see that it was quite an arty/cultural spot.
