The customer service and location are what makes this resort special. We stayed for my mom’s 80th birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. The location can’t be beat. The beach and shops are all within walking distance. Who doesn’t love Old Del Mar? Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Well in Europe when you see 2 stars hotel you don't have high expectations. But in this case we felt here better than in the 5 stars hotel we were staying in Las Vegas. I am not an often traveler to US and have chosen very carefully the location and it was top. Next to the ocean, were I could jog in the morning and walk in the evenings, safe and with one of the best restaurants in the San Diego area. The room was like new and very comfortable, equipped with everything we needed including complimentary expresso in our room. The service was outstanding and every morning we used the expresso machine at the reception - again free of charge and there were good options for a lights breakfast, for a very reasonable price. Staff was very polite and helpful. Yes there is a train passing nearby, but it was not noisy at nights. Free parking at the property was very comfortable also.

This is a great property with loads of charm. The hosts are lovely and accommodating. If you're looking for the Hilton, don't stay here. If you want something local, charming and brimming with character, you will love this! It's quiet, clean, and the beds were comfy. Our garden view room (there isn't really much of a garden) had a small outdoor space with a cafe table and chairs. It was nice to be able to open the doors to enjoy the ocean breeze. The room had a sink, small fridge and microwave. They offer free parking (a big bonus in Del Mar) and it's within easy walking distance to everything you're going to love about the village in Del Mar...the great cafes, restaurants and fabulous beach. A very short drive to the race track and 10 minutes to the freeway. We would absolutely stay here again.
