Il Pipa Hostel occupa un edificio storico a 4 minuti a piedi dal Huayan Temple East Plaza, a Datong City, e offre il WiFi gratuito in ogni ambiente. Struttura molto carina e accogliente! WC giapponese un grande tocco di classe!!!

Situato a Pingyao, a 1,5 km da China Chamber of Commerce Museum, Pingyao Jiaxin Guesthouse prevede una sala comune, un parcheggio privato gratuito, una terrazza e un ristorante. davvero un peccato averci passato poco tempo. Mai vista un’attenzione al cliente come quella ricevuta in questo posto. Offrono tantissimi servizi tra cui lavanderia, cibo (buonissimo), massaggi ecc inoltre la struttura si trova a solo 5 minuti a piedi dall’ingresso della città antica ed è comodamente raggiungibile con i Didi dalla stazione. La posizione corretta è quella che riceverete in Chat. Un altro grande plus è che chi gestisce la struttura parla perfettamente inglese, ancora non mi era successo lungo il mio viaggio in Cina.

Dotata di ristorante e connessione WiFi gratuita, la Hongyuyuan Family Guesthouse sorge nella Città Antica di Ping Yao, dichiarata Patrimonio dell'Umanità dall'UNESCO, a 200 metri da via Ming-Qing. Tutto, la manager Lili è stata meravigliosa, ci ha accolti calorosamente e al nostro arrivo ci ha deliziato con del te. La stanza è dal gusto tipicamente cinese, molto bella, comoda e pulita. Lo staff è stato eccezionale nel soddisfare ogni richiesta. La struttura nel complesso è favolosa, le stanze affacciano tutte dentro un cortile splendidamente addobbato da lanterne rosse e fregi in stile cinese. 10 e lode.

Rooms are quiet and minimalist with great water pressure, reliable fast Wi-Fi, plenty of bedside outlets, and strong AC/heat. The bed and linens meet Western comfort standards. Breakfast can be chosen Chinese or Western—I tried both during my stay and each was fresh, well-presented, and generous (fresh juice and good coffee/tea included). Staff were proactive and friendly, arranged luggage pickup from the city gate, and communicated smoothly in English. The location is perfect for walking the lanes yet peaceful once inside the courtyard. Tips for Western travelers: cars can’t enter the old town, so message the hotel for pickup; wear comfortable shoes; and leave time to simply enjoy the courtyard—part heritage museum, part modern gallery. A flawless stay.

Staying at this hotel in Pingyao felt like discovering a historical gem. The building is beautiful and full of character, making the experience truly special. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. They also offer a free shuttle service to the train station, which was very convenient. The rooms are lovely and well equipped, with all the amenities you could possibly need. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Pingyao.

A 1,4 km dal centro di Datong, 900 metri da Nine Dragon Screen, 五福居 Five Blessings Hotel mette a disposizione alloggi climatizzati con patio, biciclette gratuite e un giardino. Oh my goodness! This was a treat :) it is in the old city walls where there is tons of shopping, eating and sightseeing. We were also easily able to book a tour that picked us up at the hotel for the big sites light the pagoda, hanging temple and grottos. We wanted an English guide so booked through another source, but the hotel would also arrange for a taxi service if you wanted. The city wall is just across the street and you can ride bikes up there and during the evening there are shops and bright decorations. The 9 dragging screen with the glasses tiles is also a short walk. Museums, pagodas, temples, quaint streets and busy markets are all within walking distance. It is a bit away from the new city center and the south railway station (where all high speed trains come in) … BUT they arrange for free transportation to and from the hotel. It was apparent at every step of the way that those working were eager to please and wanted the stay to be perfect. They upgraded our room free of charge when they saw we had two kids and only 1 bed. The larger room was available so they have it to us to make the nights more comfortable. They also provide a free breakfast each morning and the food was outstanding. They made it to order and over fed us each day. Laundry machine and detergent is available for use. The facilities are very newly updated and clean. We wished we could have stayed for longer.

We travelled in a group of 3 pax and requested for an additional bed; we were very happy to see this already arranged by the time we checked in after a long flight and given an upgrade to the executive size. Room was clean, spacious and bedding comfortable with a Nespresso machine in the room. We also enjoyed the diverse spread at breakfast - with lots of local fare and a good balance of non- local to choose from. We also appreciated the amazing speed of the staff who responded to our requests with friendliness and alacrity - the concierge desk, the bellboys and the ladies at the breakfast counters were very helpful during our stay. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay in Taiyuan
