"This is not your typical accommodation, where guests often don’t interact with the host. On the contrary, the host, Mrs. Lafayette, is a hostess with a big heart, one that has space for all her guests. She personally welcomes each one and gives them her full attention. She is very communicative and kind. Her life story gives her a broad perspective and an acceptance of people. Visiting her hotel is like visiting a grandmother you haven’t seen in a long time; she is so happy to see you and makes sure everyone feels great. Breakfast with her is an experience, enriched by getting to know the other guests.

We had an amazing experience at Bia D’Olaf on Sal Island. The apartment was spotless, modern, and very comfortable — everything looked new and perfectly maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile and ready to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The location couldn’t be better — just a short walk from the beach and the main areas of Santa Maria, yet peaceful and relaxing. A special bonus is the wonderful bakery and café downstairs, owned by the same family. Their pastries, coffee, and breakfasts are simply delicious — the perfect way to start the day! Everything was truly five stars — cleanliness, comfort, hospitality, and the little details that make a big difference. We will definitely come back and recommend Bia D’Olaf to anyone visiting Sal Island!

Hotel: Ocean Suites is much more than a hotel. The service and attention that you as a customer receive every day is great🤩. I stayed in room 2 (for me one of the nicest room)😌. The room was large, with good working air conditioning and a beautiful view of the popular square and main street.The servers were friendly one by one and want to do everything for you "NO STRESS". And every evening there is live music downstairs in the restaurant with good music. You dance💃🏾 until you can't feel your feet anymore (haha). For your safety, a security guard is present every night and after an evening out he will bring you safely to the entrance so that you can safely return to your room. Breakfast ,lunch and diner: Every morning I could choose between 3 different breakfast menus (American🥓, Cape Verde🫘 and Mediterranean🍅). All three were tasty and you get a lot! You can also enjoy a delicious meal there (lunch and dinner). Try their burger🍔 (one of the tastiest burgers in Cabo Verde!)🤌🏽.  The beach and the famous pier are a 3-minute walk from the hotel! All famous cafes and restaurants are a 5 or 6 minute walk from the hotel. If you want to save money, book all activities through Dorry, which will save you 10 to 20 euros per excursion. And you can also arrange your transport to and from the airport through Dorry. Ocean Suites is for me the best hotel in Santa Maria! Adilson makes the best coffee☕️ for you in the morning. Janete serves you with her beautiful smile in the evening 😍(She has the most beautiful curls I had ever seen) And Flavio teaches you the coolest dance moves every evening💃🏾. Thank you Dorry for everything and I will definitely be back❤️❤️!!

The place is quite new, so everything was super clean and neat. The kitchen was very well equipped.

We absolutely loved our stay at MedSal. The apartment is very stylish, and the panoramic view from the bedroom is so nice. The walk to the main restaurant street is short and easy, which made the location very convenient. There is a supermarket near by. We actually stayed here twice — before and after our trip to mainland Africa. Coming back felt like coming home, which says a lot! Camila was incredibly warm and kind, and always very responsive. We felt well taken care of and would happily stay here again.
