Starlight Mountain Lodge is a recently renovated guest house in Sigchos, where guests can make the most of its water sports facilities and fitness centre. We stayed in the Azul room and it was an incredible view looking over the valley. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic, and the location was unbeatable. We stayed the night before starting the Quilotoa trail and it was right beside the trailhead.

Set in Chugchilán, Hostal Doña Clarita Inn features accommodation with a public bath and an open-air bath. A nice and friendly family running this hostal with a lot of love. Our room was amazing, the bath and shower top! The WiFi was good enough and the food was excellent. Free banana bread, tea, coffee and water made it just perfect. Go here and not in the overhyped cloud forest.

Cuscungo Cotopaxi Hostel & Lodge has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Chasqui. Everything! This lodge is the only place to stay if you’re coming to Cotopaxi. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with such warmth and kindness. The meals were fantastic, the fire place is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and clean, the hot water is hot, the location is easy to get to via local buses from Quito, the day tour to Cotopaxi is great and affordable and the property is quiet. It ticks every box!

Located in Isinliví, Hostal Taita Cristobal offers accommodation with seating area. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. The staff is always so kind, this was my second time staying here and they really make the experience great. The included dinner is amazing, and the set up is great to meet new people. There are plenty of blankets for the chilly weather.

Everything was amazing! The communication from booking to arriving was great on how to get to the accommodation! The staff were so friendly and helpful! When we checked in we were given a bigger room to make our stay more comfortable! The restaurant on site is great and the food was all delicious including the breakfast which had a good selection to choose from! The animals on site were a very cute touch! Lots of chickens and ducks, and 2 Llamas that were very friendly and we got to feed carrots! They also can help with tours - we did the Cotopaxi base camp walk/hike - it was just us two with the guide and great value including lunch! They also offer affordable laundry!

Hostal Cloud Forest features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Chugchilán. The hostel also offers free WiFi and free private parking. A wonderful stay. Jose and the staffs are genuinely taking care of you, before and after your trip. They gave us detailed guidance how to reach there, and what to do during the hike to the Quilotoa. It is beautiful scenic road that you should not be missed. We also experienced the horse back riding to the cloud forest and villages! It is a beautiful experience, highly recommended!
