Set in Clermont-Ferrand, 3.9 km from Blaise Pascal University, Grand Mess Clermont-Ferrand offers accommodation with a terrace, private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Exceptional! From the kind and very helpful staff to the fine details of the room. How soundproof soundproof can be? There was a live DJ about 20 meters from our room in the outdoor lounge and party area, but with the terrace door closed, it was absolute silence inside the room! Nespresso machine, good dark curtains and a quiet airco. This was such a perfect sleep on our route to Spain that we booked it again for the return trip (and we rarely visit the same hotel twice because its part of the fun to explore new places)

This 19th-century hotel is located in the centre of beautiful Mont Dore, and makes a wonderful base for exploring the Massif du Sancy. Beautiful, grand old hotel in the heart of Mont-Dore, perfectly located for walking around downtown. The breakfast was outstanding—eggs, pastries, hot oats, and more (French eggs really are superior!). Our room was lovely, with a full bed and a twin, ideal since I tend to twitch at night. Just note there’s no lift/elevator, which may matter for some travelers.

Terrassiga Auberge du Prieuré asub Saint-Angelis, Neuvic d'Usseli golfiväljakust 22 km kaugusel. Tubades on suitsetamine keelatud. WiFi-ühendus on tasuta. The auberge provides everything you need when travelling and the rooms etc have been recently constructed to a very good standard. Breakfast was not provided but croissants etc were obtained from a nearby patisserie to accompany coffee provided in the restaurant adjoining the auberge. Saint Angel was good for an evening stroll.

A really excellent little room, comfortable and clean with lovely attention to detail. The location is perfect, right in the old town. Annick was extremely welcoming and looked after us very well. The breakfast, partly homemade, was a lovely feature. It also made a big difference to have a private off-road car parking space. All in all, highly recommended.

Everything & Everyone - including the access to the communal kitchen with lovely plate ware you’d only find in the most lovely of restaurants, undoubtedly sourced from local artisans.

Château de Codignat asub Lezoux's, 26 km kaugusel kontserdimajast Zénith d'Auvergne. Kohapeal on hooajaline välibassein, tasuta eraparkla, aed ja terrass. Location was fabulous. Room was wonderful. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Food all homemade, traditional, healthy and very tasty, and the playlist during dinner was befitting of a medieval castle. Beautiful walks surrounded the castle. And it was very pet friendly. Will definitely be back.
