Such a lovely cosy, comfortable and dog friendly place. The staff (Sean and Helen) were exceptionally kind and helpful. I was travelling with my brand new puppy and they made it so much easier for me. Can’t recommend this property enough and we will definitely be back.

Small enough to be cosy and intimate and big enough to offer great service, rooms and amenities. The staff were amazing, especially Sam who looked after our every need. We will definitely be back. The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Beautifully decorated. The hotel had recently been updated and it was very nicely done. Extremely helpful staff members;

Set in the village of Bowness, Latimer House Guest House offers 4-star accommodation with views of its surrounding gardens and of the village. The room was stunning, I couldn’t have asked for anything better and I had the best night sleep. The guest house is very safe and secure, which made me feel 10x more comfortable on my first solo trip. The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Location, our room was comfortable, shower wonderful. Great breakfast and staff friendly. We’ve been here before and will return again
