In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. The room was spacious and had a very good view of a small stream. The amenities were excellent. The bathroom fittings are exceptional and modern which are not a common sighting in Europe. The place is at walking distance from the railway station and the main market area. The host, Ian, is very friendly.

The restaurant offers also nice food for lunch and dinner. Dessert is a delight. The location is slightly away from the crowd but still very accessible to most attractions around. It’s definitely our choice when we’ll do a similar trip in the future.
