Surrounded by tons of restaurants and pubs and shops. Gorgeous area. Very clear instructions on parking and entry, and Sian was very helpful and accommodating and a wonderful host! Natalie and Ray are the most wonderful hosts at The Handywater Cottages in Lower Assendon.We stayed on 2 occasions with them enjoying beautiful peaceful surroundings. Room was exceptional,clean and just lovely with fresh flowers in a vase.Everything worked like swiss clock and Natalie is Master Chef!!! I had my own restaurant for many years so l know genuine and excellent food( eggs from happy hens running around)We can't praise them enough.Its perfect disstance from Henley-on-Thames and when we mentioned taxi ,Ray offered to drop us off ,the most kind Always smiling and waiving if we seen them from distance.Natalie makes her own jewelery ,absolutely gorgeous ( and preserves and jams,perfect souvenir or gift)We loved it there!
