Host Detlev and his family welcomed us heartily and were very kind. The place was wonderful with a very comfortable bed, nice shower and of course the amazing terrace with hammock. The view over the lake was spectacular, and perfect for watching the sun set. We very much enjoyed our stay, so much so, that we returned a week later for 2 additional nights. Posada Don Julio ligger vid stranden i Flores och har en egen strand samt gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. Alla rum har ett pentry och ett eget badrum. Alla rum har uteplats med sjöutsikt. Hosts are the best! They are really helpful. They helped us to book trips to Tikal and Belize city and also booked boats (even in odd times) to Flores. They are really nice. Property is 5 mins boat ride across Flores town. It’s in a nice garden and has amazing views of the lake.

Zapote Tree Inn is located less than 16 minutes from Flores' airport and 4 minutes away from Flores island by boat, located at a privileged point to appreciate sunsets and sunrises overlooking the... We had such a wonderful stay that we kept on extending our stay. We absolutely loved this property—it was the perfect place to stay during our trip! The views of the lake are breathtaking, and the tranquil atmosphere made our stay so enjoyable. One of the highlights was having access to water equipment like kayaks, which were included in the stay—such a great perk for exploring the lake. We were pleasantly surprised by the food, especially after reading some of the previous reviews. Out of curiosity, we spoke to the hotel staff about the feedback, and they mentioned they’ve been working hard to improve. It shows! The included breakfast was absolutely delicious and gave us the perfect start to our day. The staff were wonderful—always friendly and eager to help. Getting around the property was seamless, as we never had to wait for a golf cart to take us to our room. Overall, this property exceeded our expectations. From the stunning views to the thoughtful amenities and excellent service, it was a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend it!
