We chose this hotel mainly based on location and reviews — but what we discovered truly amazed us! This is a real paradise for children. Yes, parents are well taken care of too, but the main guests here are definitely the kids. Everything throughout the hotel is designed with children in mind: toy cars, play areas, drawing boards around every corner, a kids’ room, a special buffet at child height with a child-friendly menu, and a water park with zones for all ages. We only wish we had known about this place when our kids were younger. Of course, when you’re on holiday with kids, you’re still a parent — but this hotel makes life so much easier.

The property is a well maintained old setup with a lavish lawn and in a quiet neighborhood with good restaurants nearby and the lake within walking distance. The lady at the front desk is such a grace whenever you see her (thank you and sorry for not remembering your name). The rooms were very spacious, with a balcony and the beds are quite comfortable.

Residence Hotel Balaton is located in quiet surroundings, featuring a private beach with a snack and cocktail bar only 150 metres away and its spa area. Free WiFi access is available in all areas. Beautiful villa with fantastic, very accomodating hosts. Delicious traditional Hungarian breakfast, well worth it. 10/10 location being only a 5 minute walk to both the train station and down to the lake- however was still relatively quiet.

The apartment itself was very spacious, stylish, and completely new, with a thoughtful design that immediately makes you feel cozy and taken care of. We would also like to highlight the staff — very friendly, attentive, and professional. They make you feel welcome from the very first moment. The breakfast was wonderful as well — you can choose what you like, and it’s delivered directly to your room, adding a pleasant boutique-hotel touch. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and were honestly sad that we spent so little time in this hotel. Another big advantage is the large parking area, including electric car charging stations — a really important convenience when you’re traveling by car. The hotel impresses in every possible way: design, technology, atmosphere, comfort, and service. It’s one of those places where you immediately think, “I would love to come back again.”
