Zzz Malang is hands down the best budget-friendly hostel in town. The dorm room was spacious and had good ventilation. The bunk beds were comfortable, and each bed had its own power socket and towel. The bathrooms were spotless and fully stocked with essentials. The hostel is in a quiet area, but a 10-minute Grab ride takes you to the train station. Lila was very welcoming and helped me book transport to Yogyakarta. Highly recommended for backpackers looking for comfort without breaking the bank!

The staff were some of the kindest people we met in Indonesia, always making sure we were comfortable. The whole place is spotless, and we loved the little details like having free drinking water and a self check-in option for late arrivals. The Ijen tour they arranged was well organized and totally worth it. There are plenty of great cafés nearby.

The price was very good, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We met a lot of interesting people while we were there, and there’s a really nice local community vibe. The location is excellent — close to lots of shops and restaurants that stay open late. Most of all, the room was impeccable: beautiful Javanese design, lovely wooden doors, and the air-conditioning worked perfectly, which was a big plus. I can’t recommend this stay highly enough.

He is French and is quite picky as a person but he did not complaint at all when we stay at this homestay which is rare experience we had in Indonesia. The room is clean, the house is cute, the staffs are very helpful. We even extended 2 more nights because we enjoyed Malang City. Our experience was amazing. We did Bromo Tour with them and we even had 2 box of breakfast. They gave us a bunch of recommendation in Malang including restaurant and we went to a special bakery place that has authentic french toast for breakfast that they recommended. We loved it so much. Overall, we had a good time :)

From the moment we arrived, we were treated with exceptional hospitality. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. The accommodation was spotless and well-maintained, with great attention to detail. The highlight of our stay was the Ijen volcano tour, which was organized perfectly by our host. Everything was planned down to the smallest detail, and we had the most professional guide who ensured we had an amazing experience. It was clear that our group received the best care and attention, making the adventure even more special.
